Would you still romance Cullen if he's voiced by a guy whose tone you find off-putting?
Would you still romance Cullen if he was significantly older and looked it?
Would you romance him if he had a disfiguring scar...?
What if you romance Cullen and later he does something horrible, if you meta game and knew in advance it would happen, would you still hit that?
How would it make you feel if Cullen went all crazy and decided that exterminating mages was the way to go - even coming after your PC (if a mage) despite being romanced by you?

We've probably covered all this too but since I'm scarce these days, I just can't say if I've seen this.

Would you still romance Cullen if he's voiced by a guy whose tone you find off-putting? Yes, because I've been waiting for two bloody games lol. However, I'd be disappointed that they'd changed his voice.

Would you still romance Cullen if he was significantly older and looked it? Yes, the poor boy (or old man) needs some affection in his crappy life. Of course, I prefer how he looks now (in DA2) but that wouldn't stop me.

Would you romance him if he had a disfiguring scar...? Absolutely, that's even more reason to romance him, poor thing!

What if you romance Cullen and later he does something horrible, if you meta game and knew in advance it would happen, would you still hit that? It would depend entirely on what that horrible thing is, his reasons behind it and if he repents.

I would be best pleased lol. Although I'd hope there would be a way to convince him otherwise. If not, then I'd have to murderknife him I guess.

We did lose electricity for precisely 24 hours. Within 5 minutes. Houses across the street are still dark, but that may be because most people in the area left to wait it out with relatives out of the wind zone. Anyway, we weathered the storm just fine with no damage to the house or property and minimal inconvenience.

Hope R2 is faring as well!

I would romance Cullen  if he was voiced by anyone, even Desmond Askew. I've come to like the character. At this point, voice is not exactly irrelevent, but certainly not the most important consideration.

I would romance Cullen if he were significantly older and looked it. I wrote a romance mod for a 40+ year old BG2 character. Age differences aren't that important.

I'd romance him if he'd had his face burned off. As I said, I like the character and I want to see how interaction with him would play out. The pixels on the screen are just there for show.

I romance Anders on every playthrough of DA2. The character's horrific actions are part of the story, not some kind of metagaming equivalent of leprosy. If I can work up a protagonist concept that would fall in love with that NPC, the romance will happen regardless of previous playthroughs. If I can't create a character that I would enjoy playing who would romance the character, then my protagonist will never romance that character, even if he's an angel.

How would it make me feel if Cullen started nuking mages, including the PC? Well, it wouldn't happen, but I'd still create a character or two for him to destroy. It's a game. If I can work myself up to doing a pro-templar playthrough, I can work myself up to anything.

Ok one more. Much more subtle, figured I'd make the scene/environment look more depressing and bleak. Let's just pretend he's running for his life, desperately trying to shake off the very people he once considered brethren, now hot on his heels.

That darker one, and also the first one you posted, make me really think about what his possible plotline may include if he is a companion in DA 3. Like you said, that one looks like he is on the run, while the first looks like he's at a positive point in his life and things are looking up.

This is kind of a er irrelevant question for me personally simply because I will be romancing him simply so I can enjoy the story as well as participate in any discussion here which I think will be cool because this is sort of like the Cullen Book Club lol. I could probably answer in regards to Cassandra though.

1. Immersion is a big part to enjoying a romance for me and if anything happens that causes me to break immersion it can sometimes ruin that for me. Cassandra has had two voice actresses so I'm actually curious as to who they'll use for her if at all. I found the Dawn of the Seeker actress good but no Miranda Raison. The new actress lacked Ms. Raison's smokey commanding voice. Miranda has a certain regal quality to her voice that made her potrayal of Miranda sexy in a, wow you could kick my ass, jump my bones, smoke a cigarette and leave me wanting without batting an eyelass, while not becoming the seductress cliche if that makes any sense?

2. I like older women . If she looked it I guess it would depend really. I mean have those years been hard and look it or are they sort of gracefully layered. I mean in both cases there are a lot of xfactors that might put me off. If she has been hit hard then it depends on if she acts immature, if she aged well then if she's acting beyond her years it might be a bit offputting but I think regardless I'd romance her. In the end it's hard to age people for me but an older woman wouldn't be "ewww gross." I might like her better

3. I'm reminded of a story of when a girl is very disfigured, she was attacked and her face left very scarred and I thought she was beautiful. I mean sometimes it depends. I mean I won't lie and say it can't be bad sometimes. Watching the show Beauty and the Beast (with Ron Perlman) the main heroine is very disfigured at the beggining and it put me off, simply because the stitches sort of made her...I dunno, once the stiches were gone however I was fine. So it might not stop me from romancing her but depending on the severity of the scar it might make me less attracted to her appearance and more attracted to her personality.

4. I try to pick the most canon romance so learning that my romance did something horrible might work against her/him in my iternal voting system but in previous cases I have er...chosen the "horrible" person anyway lol. I mean Morrigan has me kill her mother (who did nothing but save me previously) and then was willing to sleep with someone she hated in order to get pregnant. That was on top of the fact that that was her purpose for joining me in the first place and may have lead to our first encounter. I learned recently that Isabela let slaves drown and she basically abandoned my character with the only thing that could possibly have prevented the Qunari battle in Kirkwall. And I knew all of that on my canon playthroughs, so I guess if Cassandra did it'd simply be a part of her character for me.

5. Simply put, depends.

The more I see DA2 screen caps of in-game Cullen head swaps, fan art, fan fic and fan videos, the more concerned I get that he may not be a companion/LI in DA3 at all. I think it's because, we as fans, have created our own stories about him since he's only been an npc, so we've come up with our own ways to experience what it would potentially be like having him as a companion through various DA:O 'n' DA2 mods and have seen enough of his basic personality traits to form a rough idea of what he might be like for our new protagonist to interact with in the next game.

But, when we actually take a step back and strip away all the fan made stuff and speculation, Cullen's in-game air time over the course of both games has been pretty minimal to say the least. The high possibility that yet again we may have to settle for him in (yet another) npc role (or worse still, a cameo) genuinely bums me out. Sure, WE see his potential, but does the DA team? I guess our one saving grace is that both Merill and Isabela had miniscule roles in DA:O, yet they became full companion/LI's in DA2. I just hope we haven't been too loud... (or creepy) that it's put Gaider 'n' co off upgrading Cullen to companion/LI status.

... I often wonder if perhaps the fact that we've essentially created our own version of who we believe Cullen to be, will discourage them from making him a party member, instead choosing to keep him as an npc so that we can continue to use our imagination. Which would suck. Ideally, I'd want the DA team to say "HA! Silly fan-girls, you're all wrong. Let the experts SHOW you what Cullen's personality is really like! THIS is what you'll experience when you romance your tortured (possibly ex) Templar" And then surprise us by making him a romancable companion, so that we can discover exactly what they've had planned for him.

For atmosphere alone, I like the two dark rainy ones best. Just because you can almost imagine/pretend that it's leaked screenshots from DA3 lol.
