Hm, maybe that'll be when we get the CGI trailer then? I know with DA2 it with shown at the VGA's, but they seem to be doing things differently this time.

But DA2 was released in March, so the VGAs were only a few months before. If the game comes out in the fall, E3 would be a good bet for a full trailer. Was reminded by that other teaser thread that the DA2 LIs were officially announced only a month beforehand, on Valentine's day, although there had been hints and such earlier than that (e.g. all that MEG stuff with Fenris).

It's gonna be a long year...

So what did they do exactly? Show pictures of him and make hints? They probably wouldn't do that with Cullen or Cassandra if they're gonna be love interests, since we'd be able to tell who they are in an instant.

Oh, I wasn't either. All I know is that Fenris was called Mysterious Elf Guy (MEG) for a while before anyone knew his name, so pics of him must have been teased much earlier than that Valentine's Day post that named each LI and shared their short stories.

Isn't that sort of what arcane warrior was? I never actually took it in DA:O, so I don't know much about it. It would be nice to combine the two somehow... That's sort of like anti-specialization, though, right? Sorta capable of many skills, specialized master of none? LOL

Cool! Did that work?? Can you cast in DA:O when wearing armor??  I think my DnD brain is interfering. Maybe THAT's what I should have done. I couldn't stand being a mage in DA:O. Indeed, too slow, and when I did cast, I drew all the aggro and died. I like being on the front lines too much. DA2 mages were much more my style (which is basically finesse-less and strategy-less!).

I dunno, mine wore the skimpy get up that Velanna used to wear (wanted to give Alistair something to look at!) But I could still cast certain spells whilst equip with a sword, I used to switch to a staff occasionally if I wanted to pull out the big guns lol.

I was around for the MEG stuff. It was a picture of his concept art that got released in a magazine talking about DA II early on. Noone knew who he was or even if he was a companion, but seeing as it was the only hint of a main character aside from Varric, and he was pretty darn cute, the fangirls pounced.

... but not more aggressive than I'd like him to be.
