So, regarding agressive!Cullen up there (back there...?) I think you're right, brush, that I don't imagine Amell-era Cullen being very assertive. But then, once he's been with someone for a while, I don't think a scene like that would be very out of character at all. After all, look at how self-assured he was in DA2. I read a fan fic once where Bethany and Cullen were locked in a magic room and Cullen was chained to the bed etc. In that Cullen was a complete tosser. Like one minute he was being nice to Bethany and then he was treating her like a sex slave and it just went on and on and on like that for pages. In the end I just stopped reading it because it was completely unbelievable and ridiculous. Methinks someone had been reading 50 Shades of Grey when they wrote it LOL.

LOL I read one like that, too. I wonder if it's the same one. I kinda liked it, altho it was a little on the 50 shades gratuitous sex side.

LOL Yup, that's it. He was kind of a dick, no pun intended... but to be honest, I liked that about Cullen's characterization. I think too often in fanfic, and I think I am also guilty of this, he's portrayed as too nice, particularly about mage issues. For someone who is so regimented and so presumably prudish, I think he would have been frakking PISSED at a situation like that. So, it's plausible that such dickishness would ensue. :shrug: Of course, it's just a set up for crazy hate sex! LOL Which was a little over the top.

R2's fics are wonderful! But if you're looking for total smut you can look at adultfanfic.net. Most of the raunchiness involves Fenris and/or Anders though.

There are some good ones on the first page of this thread. Bekkael's are fun. Crisium's are fantastic. Of course, I'll throw mine out there, since I'm SHAMELESS!  The one Lola and I were discussing is by Defira1985, who has some fun Cullen stories (she has a series of Bethany x Cullen that are cute, there's the gift wrapped one we were discussing, and then my fave is Through these pages -- all NSFW).

You can also find some more mature ones at AO3. They have a lot more tags to search than FF.net. Then there's always the Kmeme.

edit: vieralynn had a nice Cullen one recently, that I think was orig a kmeme prompt. you can find her on ff.net.

I'm blushing! Thanks guys! And... the rest of the story that Trust is from is... incubating. meanie's read the first 30,000 words or so... so it's getting there! I'm writing something else (for the Dragon Age Big Bang) which has put it on a back burner, but I'm anxious to get back to it.

Also, speaking of the Dragon age Big Bang, the Wave one authors are posting soon, I think... So that'll be fun. Those stories are all in the 10,000+ word zone, then the longer stories (like mine) are due in January. You can follow it at #dragonagebb on tumblr and LJ.

The red flags referenced in Asunder also made me wonder if those big red flags in the second concept art in the big open field was the Orlesian army, because in the book Evangeline and co mention seeing the flags of the Orlesian army heading back towards Val Royeaux during the uproar.
