I've seen her do the neck grabbing thing a few times, but I've never managed to here her say that clearly because of all the combat noise.

Never seen her do the Arishok thing though.

OK... finally found where Galagraphia talked about it... but the screenshot she posted has been removed. Rats. Apparently Meredith says the same thing to Fenris as to Cullen.

Oh, someone took a shot of Cullen on the sword. So I was right, she just says the same thing to Cullen and Fenris:

Guess I'll just have to try it myself. Interesting... she mentions that Cullen died in her game. Hmm, I thought he was plot shielded? OK... nightmare...here I come.

He just gets knocked unconscious I think, since he's need for the final scene where he either bows to Hawke or let's him/her go.

Have you guys ever heard her having second thoughts throughout the game? Nearer the end of the fight she'll say stuff like "what if I'm wrong? What if I really am being controlled?" - or something to that effect.

Gosh, no I've never heard that.

Funny, going through these necro posts, though. Just ran into someone's post from strat guide on who will join you for the last fight. Heh. Never knew the pattern before. In case any one else also finds it interesting it's below. Finally sorta answers why I never saw Merrill show up... although not the reasoning behind why she's not on the list. Hmm.

Here's the specifics (taken fron the Strategy guide)

You can have eight allies active in the final battle

- The three members of your party
- Cullen (who's mandatory)
- Dog counts if he's out during the fight.

As Meredith health lowers, additonal people join in this order of priority:
- Bethany/Carver
- Varric
- Anders
- Aveline
- Fenris
- Isabela
- Sebastian

Obviously that assumes they're not in your direct party, are still allies and alive.

After that the number is filled out with the cameos in this order:
Donnic (If Aveline in party)
Zevran
Nathaniel

So
in my first playthrough, All I got noticed from the cameo list was
Donnic. Because I had Aveline in my group and was down one party member
because Anders was Murder Knifed. I didn't see Zevran and hadn't known
he could show up until my wife's first playthrough hit endgame.

I've gotten that a few times. She usually talks herself back into her delusion after, if I remember correctly.

Yeah that's right. I'm gonna have to turn all the sound effects and music off for the final battle one day, just to get a proper listen to the battle talk.

I've only ever seen Zev, but Donnic was in that vid I posted up above where Aveline gets the Arishok-stab. It always seemed weird to me that Zevran, of all people would show up, but not Merrill (and I never have her in my active party... BUGS my ass). I mean... what the heck??

Or just turn on all subtitles. Then you can see the banter, as well.

She probably got distracted by dust particles or something. :-S

I had that problem. The only way to get him to show up is if you bring him with on the final battle in Awakenings. Pain in the butt, as I always want to take Anders, Justice, and Oghren

Is Alistair the King, or a Warden? I had him mention my Cousland Warden as his queen in my playthrough, haven't tried any others. I heard as a Warden he always says the Hero Warden is dead.

I kept him as a Warden. He refered to get as dead once, but mostly he just speaks of her as a friend... Which is annoying because it's really sweet when he refers to her as the love of his life.

I always loved the Alistair romanced, remaining a Warden epilogue the best.
