DG made a tumblr post.. It's a pretty good read if anyone's interested in where his head's at : http://dgaider.tumbl...ersweet-endings
Just finished reading it. It's a shame that he feels like he has to explain himself and quash rumours.

Agreed... if that's the case. It must be exasperating to be taken out of context or misinterpreted so frequently. It'd send me over the wall, to be sure. I feel like I want to make him some cookies now. lolLolaLei wrote...

I'm glad he did. The hipster on the bed made me LOL. I have been scared out of my pants about DA3. It gives me a bit of faith to know the story is in good hands.

I'm not really scared for DA3. It will be it's own animal and I'm ok with that. I would just prefer a different story structure than DA2. It was too wonkerjawed for my taste.
Apparently DA3 won't be a narrative again, if that helps?

You know, maybe it's because I didn't play ME3, or because I really adored DA2 more than DA:O, but I have absolutely no concern whatsoever about the endings, past or future. Love both DA games, and full expect to love the next one. There will be my little quibbles of things I didn't expect... since now that I'm a forumite I actually *have* expectations now... but I'm just really looking forward to see what BW has wrought this time.

You can bet your arse that someone will pull his Tumblr post out of context too. I just don't understand why people feel the need to be so rude.
These forums often pull everything said out of context. That or double standards. I love all the arguments from DAO purists how the animations look so ridiculous in DA2. Like, one guy in the DA3 forums the other day showed a pic of the Ogre kill animation in DA2. Funnily enough, it's almost the exact same animation in DAO only it's slowed down to unnatural speeds just like it speeds up to unnatural speed in DA2. The realism argument really annoys me. Yea, because DAO was SO realistic guys.
I mean, I could understand the argument if it's articulated better but don't show a SS of basically the same exact over-the-top animation from DAO. That wasn't exactly a good example.

I played all three of those games and enjoyed them all lol I'm BW's favorite kind of fan! I'm always happy! But seriously I have no concerns about DA3 whatsoever. The only thing I'm feeling is 100% excitement. I wouldn't have even realized the games weren't all totally amazing if I hadn't come to the BSN. Only then did I see people bashing them.
Gotta make din-din then I'll read Mr. Gaider's posty.

I've liked Bioware games since Baldur's Gate 2. They've changed over the years but I still feel their core is there. I enjoyed all three myself too. I look at ME3 for the journey and experience. I'll never let 15 minutes of a game change the hundreds of hours and emotions it put through me in three games...
I also liked DA2 personally. I don't think it's better than DAO but contrary to popular belief on these forums, I felt it did some things better than DAO. I'm not too concerned at this point about DA3 either. Most information coming out from the devs I find to be very positive(for me at least). Only major negative so far is the forced human PC. I've always preferred the writers from the DA team back to their Baldur's Gate days. I think David is their best writer.

As realistic as a world full of dragons and magic. Dragons are real, obviously.

I'm one of those that believes that the spirit in which something is created is carried within that creation. And inevitably is picked up on --in varying degrees--by the audience, or receivers of that creation.
I do get angst-y from time to time, (yes, ME3...in my pseudo-scientific opinion--had sum weird juju on it. Overall. Tuchanka & Rannoch were beautiful Bittersweet) but this post does ease my Feels.

I'm not an RPG fan in particular; games I've enjoyed the most are, including the three BW games, Portal, Sims, Halo, Gears of War, and Star Wars: Battlefront. Odd mix lol But I was a social gamer before coming to BW.

I really hope Cullen is in the game so I can see what he looks like in FB2..squee.
Oh, gosh, as long as the art/animation team doesn't have...eyeballs issues.

I am probably in the camp that wants a closure for the romance and not the narrative as much (didn't he make that distinction?)
Probably why I didn't enjoy DA:O's ending as much... Zevran was just standing there, like, hey man, what's up? Oh, we're still together? Okay, guess I'll stick around.
Such a huge let down in the sappy romance department lol

"Sadly no, other than we do these read throughs before getting voice actors in for a specific plot."
Do you suppose that they record the VO lines on a staggered basis, as each plot/quest and dialogue is finished? Or maybe it's for the minor characters? Or perhaps they do the minor characters first and the major characters last?
