The way they moved. The way they "noticed" your PC. They seemed more aware. Very lil if any thousand mile NPC stare.
The PC itself I found to be very easy to move around. Very natural.
And no Michael Jackson eyeballs.

i thought the DA2 ending was indeed very dramatic... But I did miss the epilogue cards from DA:O. And Varric's story was so tantalizing, teasing me with new world events I didn't get to see, that I think it suddenly made me feel in medias res... Ad then, credits rolled...motomotogirl wrote...
Also, I liked DA2's ending the best out of the three; it always confuses me when people get mad about the ending. Not sure what else they want to see happen? It always gives me chills when Cullen backs away, and Hawke stares everyone down before turning to go, flanked by his honey and his BFFs lol
I am probably in the camp that wants a closure for the romance and not the narrative as much (didn't he make that distinction?)
Probably why I didn't enjoy DA:O's ending as much... Zevran was just standing there, like, hey man, what's up? Oh, we're still together? Okay, guess I'll stick around.
Such a huge let down in the sappy romance department lol
i still haven't gotten around to installing the Alistair wedding mod... But I've watched it enough times on YouTube, that I think I'm good with my sappy romantic ending. LOL

Huh. No idea! But must be so that at least they spread them out.LolaLei wrote...
So, what do you guys think of this reply from Cameron after someone asked if there was any more DA3 info he could reveal:
"Sadly no, other than we do these read throughs before getting voice actors in for a specific plot."
Do you suppose that they record the VO lines on a staggered basis, as each plot/quest and dialogue is finished? Or maybe it's for the minor characters? Or perhaps they do the minor characters first and the major characters last?
Or does this add fuel to our Cullen does the trailer VO theory?

Idk. You've got schedules that have to coincide. Plots change and grow. Or shrink. I don't think most VA's come in for a hit it and quit it session. They prolly bring them back and forth as need demands.
And didn't we get that tweet pic of Greg Ellis in studio? Tweeting on the sly. D'aww.

Although, I have to say, art/animation did a stand up job in DA2. The characters moved so naturally to me.

I really like how expressive the characters expressions were, even Hawkes. I mean, I love the Mass Effect games but I always found the characters to be a bit stone faced, although it improved in ME3 but I found that the default Shepards had more expressive faces than when I create a custom one.

Are you trying to tell me dragons aren't real? *gasp* next you'll be telling me Cullen's not a real guy...
I'm just going to sit here quietly with my fingers in my ears. *it's all real it's all real it's all real*Just wait till (if) we see him in Frostbite 2 engine; he'll be even more real
DA3 will be really interesting to see how it looks on Frostbite. I saw a tweet from a dev awhile back that said the spells look completely different than previous DA games. I could only imagine just about everything will look different in DA3 on that engine. Espesically the lighting based on how Frostbite deals with it.
My only worry with that is people will see drastic changes to things like art direction and immediately be turned off. We saw how the DA2 reaction went on the art direction...

Ideally I think they would try to get the big ones out of the way first, but I'm sure it comes down to what's actually finished vs what they think needs revising ... sadly, I've never really been on the production end of things and not all teams work the same way, so it's difficult to say.
Haha, I guess that wasn't much help after all. Sorry.

I already loved the spell changes for DA2... Although I still dunno what that hand grabby spell was supposed to be from the destiny trailer. That was fan-freakin-tastic.deuce985 wrote...

The Dragon Age games are the first Bioware games I have played. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing them. Good stories and great characters (I came to care about some of them). I do prefer DAO to DA2 just a little bit more because I thought the companion interactions in DAO were better. It is also a good 25+ hours longer. But the combat in DA2 was a lot better and I liked having a talking PC. I also felt the PC in DA2 had more of an impact on the game in terms of the decisions/interactions he made.
Yes, I was surprised at how much I liked the DA games. There was so much ruckus about them, I finally gave them a try. Yay, ruckus!

I preferred DA:O overall, but I do like having a voiced protagonist.
Origins was the first game in a long time to ever have me literally running back to play it. It pained me to have to go to work, well, moreso than usual that is

I remember one part when I was in the Deep Roads, and Wynne commented about the Warden's relationship with Alistair. I kept thinking it was cause I did something in that area that triggered it, so I'm like speeding through the combat for another follow up scene for Alistair to yell at her or something. I seriously don't think I was blinking at all throughout that quest area...and it's a LONG quest area.

I agree completely. Didn't understand what everyone's complaints about DAII's aesthetic were about. The graphics were about 100% better than DA:O's, and some different-looking elves and qunari don't necessarily constitute a new art style.
The BSN community: finding shhhtuff to complain about since the dawn of Bioware.
