I thought it was one of your's too, VampOrchid! I was about to squeal with joy. Its a very nice picture. Today I ordered some copic markers so I can start doing sketch cards (but not selling them).

Happy very late Thanksgiving, everyone!!!! 

Just saw this (super interesting - never seen it in such detail before, so great job berelinde!) and to me, the female figure in the middle kind of looks like Flemeth.

Anyone else seeing that? Or am I just desperate for some sort of connection to something familiar and what that could imply story-wise?

LOL brush, I should have known that you'd see Flemeth! You've got this not-unjustified fascination with her that makes her show up everywhere. And you do have a point (although not necessarily with the lyrium idol). She is a big part of the world, the lore, and probably the ongoing plot, and we don't really know what it is. I, for one, am intensely interested in seeing how all the loose threads tie together as the game series progresses. And Cullen is a part of it, too. He has been in both games so far and has potential for being in he third. He's a very pretty loose end, but a loose end he remains. I'm curious to see how it will all turn out.

Haha. Guilty!! Though the circlet and the saggy breasts make my suspicion justifiable this time, right? Right? 

Maker, I do love that woman/thing to pieces, though. Is she the villain? Our savior? She's definitely comic relief (which, I'm not too proud to admit, my shallow self loves more than anything). She reminds me a lot of Kreia from the KotoR series.

But seriously, how crazy would it be if the ancient dwarves/elves revered Flemeth in some freaky way? She is about the oldest thing in the lore we know about. It's as plausible as anything we're aware of (though we all know it's probably most plausible that the idol isn't something we've ever been yet aware of). I just hope the writers don't forget to explain that one, or sit on it so long that it drives me insane®.

Honestly, berelinde -- you could start a whole new topic for that idol on the forums with that still shot and I bet you'd get a huge response. I know I've personally never gotten that good of a look at it before. And it definitely has the Meredith-ish circlet.

I second this. I think it could generate some much needed lore discussion. And, for all their irritations, some of the BSN users are walking lore encyclopedias.

brush, flemeth... hmmm. You know, you make me realize that that pointy circlet thing is a common fashion theme in Thedas. That would be cool if it were her. I thought in one of the answer DA questions threads recently DG answered one about a ball park on how old Flemeth might be... and it wasn't as old as all that (like, beginning of time, which is w hat I'd imagined). I'll have to look that one up.

OH, and I didn't get a chance to say brushyourteeth is here!!!  YAY!!!

Re the idol, if it is Flemeth, couldn't those be the bodies of her daughters below her? In DAO, Morrigan said that when Flemeth got too old, she took the body of her daughter. Which was why my warden killed her (or a version of her anyway)! Just a thought.

What if flemeth just planted her grimmoire....as in its really a fake....as kind of a test for both the warden and morrigan. I really believe that flemeth can for see things and isn't evil at all, but some kind of deity that walks among us.

LMAO   There have been many many "daughters" over time, though, right? We know they exist... but we still don't really know their role, or if any of that body snatching is really true. I mean if she can put  part of herself in a locket... does she really need a body to take over?? (hmm that just occurred to me for the first time...)

I do wonder about Flemeth's "alignment" but I imagine her more neutral neutral than anything else. I also hope they never fully explain her.

I'd love for Flemeth to remain an anomaly too - and to be a neutral observer that jumps in when things are starting to tip too far in either direction. Someone to keep things in balance. She'd have to play both sides of the fence then, wouldn't she? You'd never know what her angle is. Hmmm. Could be fun to see.

Side note: couldn't resist temptation and had to go look up who Yavana was. I haven't read Silent Grove.

So if she only has the balance of the universe as her interest, which that's what it looks like to me... it would only make sense for her 'ways' to seem a bit 'evil'
