Yeah, know it's funny, ostensibly before the fangirl was popularized there was a fanboy... but they do seem to have fallen by the wayside. Of course fanboy also has its own negative connotations. Too bad we all can't just be fans, and leave it at that.

Exactly my thought. Fangirl Fanboy seems to me we like the same things just in different ways...

Frak if I know. The dude stopped working on DA3, according to that page, in Sept 2012. Haven't they been telling us in the interim "Fall 2013"?  If it had already been pushed back, why not tell us 2014?

Good point. Mark Darrah won't confirm or deny whether there's any truth to it currently. I don't mind what gen console it's on really, although I hope the game will be out by early 2014 if it is moved.

Reading things like that always makes me nervous. I mean yea, it's awesome that the next games would be running with what I would assume to be some crazy graphics, but I really dont wanna have to go out and buy a whole new game console! 

If that's the case, I guess I'm just gonna have to pray my PC is up for the job. It seemed to handle DA II ok.

^This! It does make me nervous if they're pushing the graphics envelope... which means more crazy bugs since half the video cards won't be able to run it properly.

I'd just like more info about the game whilst we wait for it to be released. I guess once Decembers out the way then Spring will come around pretty fast.

Truth of the matter is straight male gamers are the majority, and a lot of them find it out of place to see others who are not interested in sexy female characters.

QFT... unfortunately.

I don't mind if a game has some sexy female characters - none as sexy as the protagonist, though, should the protagonist be female. But an endless parade of T&A gets old after a while. I'm more into equal opportunity ogle-ables.

QFT T&A is nice and everything but if Morrigan and Isabela didn't have good characters I don't think I could have had anything to do with them romantically. Oh and I'm number 1 token male Battle.....*fingers, eyes, fingers*

I have a question for everyone though....with DG's new tumblr post do you guys think that the survey was that list he spoke about that gets cut down, expanded etc?

Danny: Funnily enough, DG said that if we think that those characters listed are companions then we're going to be sorely disappointed. So I guess it kinda confirms that the survey was probably legit to an extent, but that a lot of that was changed/cut or never meant to be companions in the first place.

Hopefully that won't count for Cullen and Cassandra!

I don't think the next game would be for next gen consoles...too many ppl have paid too much for their ps3 or xbos360 to go out and buy a new console...I think it would bring their market down...I'm not worried. They will more then likely work on next gen console games when the next console is out. It wouldn't make sense to push a high budget game out when hardly anyone has the 'new' console. So I am going with the assumption that it's for the current consoles. Otherwize, I don't think DA3 would have been mentioned at all.

Marketing. It makes sense some times lol

I think Cassandra might be set to go, but I'm sure Cullen will be there in some capacity. We're at the center of templar power in Orlais so it'd be odd if he didn't show up in Orlais or Tevinter. It might be interesting to see Cullen transfered to Tevinter where his duties are all in all diminished or just plain cut down.

I think it might but I think it will span the two generations. So it might be PC, Xbox 360, PS3, 720 and the PS4. Becuase they might want to get as much initial sales as possible and depeding on when the next gen actually comes out it might be the first or only reason someone gets the game in that first year. I'm kind of sad because I remember when the 360 first came out it was riddled with bugs and system issues etc.

I think I'm gonna get Baldur's Gate. They do have M/M romance, but it's not Rasaad, but it's Dorn. I wish it had been Rasaad, but Dorn is okay, too.

Now THAT will be interesting.  I have yet to see a M/M romance with such an unrepentantly evil character as one of the partners.  In fact, I can count on one hand the number of evil NPCs (mods included) available for romance at all, and one of them is just emo rather than evil.

I will be romancing him with my Lawful Neutral (probably soon to turn Evil) female monk, so we'll have to compare notes and see how it stacks up.  I am, however, changing his portrait.  I'm shallow, yes, but he's a bit too tusky in that image for me

It could just be a mistake or maybe it is Cullen but when Meredith arrives he goes to her side quickly tells her what happened and then walks with her up to Hawke.

It could be either. I'm more inclined toward mistake since Cullen really appears to arrive with Meredith... but then, Cullen sort of appears and disappears throughout the following scene. He's standing behind Meredith throughout her chat with Orsino and then as soon as the camera moves to Hawke... he's gone!

Something else funny I noticed in my screenshots recently. Did you ever notice that the evil lyrium Meredith statue has a... tail, for lack of a better word??

It looks kind of like her feet fused together.

I wonder... If the next game brings us back to Kirkwall, will Meredith's husk still be there? Since the lyrium has fused to her skin, will it become yet another source of madness (As if Kirkwall needed another!)? Maybe that's why all the templars went nuts and turned on the Divine!

Agree with berelinde! If Kirkwall doesn't find some way to dispose of what's left of Meredith (give it to Sandal!) that's baaaad news for the city.

Kirkwall is basically the hellmouth of Thedas at this point.

It sort of reminds me of that pic of the lyrium idol except that the idol has another body wrapping itself around the main body of the idol. I'm curious as to why a dwarven (I'm assuming it's dwarven) thaig houses a human looking statue. It could be an interesting plot...or it could not. I feel like we fans tend to get to excited about certain plots and jump on it and when the developers don't bring it up we rage because how could they not see that this was the better choice etc.
