I need inspiration to strike me to really get into writing right now. I've been a bit scatterbrained when it comes to writing lately and it's a shame because it's my passion.

Anyway I'm hopeful that the next gen console WON'T be the way I described it, full of horrific bugs and such, but I'm also hopeful that when the game comes out it is still a 360 title.

My older sister told me that when PS3 and 360 came out games were released for both gens for a time. I don't know if it's true but if it is I hope they do the same thing for DA3 since it's coming out around the same time of the next gen consoles. 

But what worries me is that it might not do that and it'll only be for next gen, and since PS3 didn't have backwards compatibility PS4 probably won't either :C no DA3 for me

I'm sure they will otherwise they are alienating their fans who save for their games...like me. The only issue I feel now is that it's gonna have that discussion of, is the game worth it's price AND the price of the console? Because some people may want to wait until the kinks are worked out before they buy it. Hopefully that is mitigated by the PC users but *shrugs* idk.

I just hope that any post launch DLC we see for DA3 is cheaper because you just KNOW that the box price is probably going to spike with the next gen. It might not, but we might have to start paying 75-80 bucks per game which in my opinion would destroy the gaming industry in the long run.

Cullen Origin Story Challenge! (courtesy of Shades of Pale)

OK folks let's plan on writing up a short "thing" imagining Cullen's background/origin story. It can be a story or just a description. Let's shoot for less than 1000 words to keep them manageable for writers and readers. If it's less than 500, you can just post it here. Otherwise, post it elsewhere and link, such as from a blog entry here on BSN or tumblr or fanfiction.net (if it's a story) or wherever.

How long would folks want? I reckon we'd only need 1-2 weeks, but with the holidays coming, should we share for New Years?

Whoa whoa, guys. I downloaded and have been playing The Secret World, but I just tried to start up Dragon Age 2 and it freezes immediately. I disabled the intro videos, but it still freezes when I get to the title screen. Any idea on fixes? Right before downloading TSW I updated my graphics drivers so it would run. I've had no problems with DA2 before this.

Ah, rats, charlottecorday, I have no idea. I (almost) never update my graphics driver since mine is stupidhead HP proprietary and therefore a pain.

It's all bundled, I didn't have to download a thing. Just choose your platform and it should all be there.

Don't I need to download it to get it in game, tho?

R2 plays on the PC, charlottecorday. She's going to have to download some of it... and probably wait until later in the day. Once you input your platform, it will show up on your "registered game content" list, but it won't be unlocked in game just yet. I'm assuming that they're waiting until the official announcement.

I don't think it's outfits, exactly. More like costume accessories (amulets, rings, belts) and weapons.
