I never did get to play the full game of this. Is it F2P yet? I received a closed beta invite way before it went to retail and I enjoyed what I played. Thought it was a great game but I told myself I couldn't commit to a MMO. Only one ever held my interest and it was WoW. I put too many hours in that game though. Not a big fan of the timesink design MMOs suffer.

WoW never seemed liked that at first. It was built to be casual, at least vanilla WoW was. By the time Burning Crusade came out though, that game just fell into a hardcore raid grind. That existed in vanilla WoW but doing Molten Core runs in my guild took about a hour. Blizz kept making the raid dungeons harder and that made you devote your life to the game. Hated that. SWTOR beta kinda reminded me of my time with WoW but I knew if I was going to get into a MMO, it wouldn't be a healthy thing lol. So I quickly avoided that game.

Really? That sucks, I used to talk to her quite alot.

Yea. I'm not sure what happened. She use to post on my wall all the time and then all of sudden she disappeared. Happened a few weeks ago. I messaged her but never got a response back. Now it seems like her account was deleted. I know she's Dutch and I don't think she ever felt comfortable with her English. I don't know why though, she was good at it...maybe she didn't feel like she belonged and deleted her account? Just seems odd. She posted something on my wall from a post I made and when I went to respond, she removed me lol.

@duece Yep it's F2P right now, though severely limited if you're not a subscriber or don't purchase the "Cartel Coins" which allow you to purchase items and unlock things via real money.

Yea, not surprising. This is typically how "F2P" games do their design. They sugar coat it by saying it's free when it actually isn't. It's full of MTs you have to pay for.

But-but then they just brake apart and turn into smaller thoughts! I hate that! I see a thread where I can lay down some knowledge and I have like three minutes until I have to go somewhere or just can't post for some reason and I'm left raging for absolutely no important reason.

Cullen Origin Story Challenge!

WHAT: Write up a short "thing" imagining Cullen's background/origin story. It can be a story or just a description.

LENGTH:
less than 1000 words. If it's less than 500, you can just post it here. Otherwise, post it elsewhere and link, such as from a blog entry here on BSN or tumblr or fanfiction.net (if it's a story) or wherever.

DUE DATE: New Years Day (let's shoot to post that evening U.S. time, but anytime that day works for those in other timezones). Hopefully that will give everyone plenty of time with the holidays and school and whatnot.

PROMPTS TO GET OUR CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING:

1. Is Cullen an only child or does he have siblings?
2. Is he related to any mages?
3. Did he always want to be a templar? If so/If not, why did he join?
4. Was he a good kid or a naughty kid?
5. Did he have lots of friends growing up? Loner?
6. Was the Amell/Surana his first love? If not, who was?
7. How old was he when he joined the Order?


Other good questions to throw in the mix??
