Agree. The more of them I look at, tho, the more I'm puzzled about Cullen's "flip side." Why is the heraldry gone from his shield...? Identity crisis??  Protecting vs. hunting? Reading too much into it...? LOL

^^Yup. When a shield is equipped, you can't see the heraldry.

Possible... still a curious choice. Particularly for someone so defined by the symbol.

Maybe it's because it's already visible on the front of his armor and it might have looked too busy if it were repeated on the shield. Or possibly because the artist was underlining his role as a defender and distancing him from Meredith's craziness.

So since the armors for DA3 are (possibly) going to be the way they described it in that blog what do you guys think will be his....umm "constant" i.e. Cassandra had that coat tail, the Grey Warden had that bandoleer etc. what do you think Cullen's will be?

Also do you guys like the new armor system? Did you prefer Origins or DA2's armor systems? Do you want something extra to be added to this system?

A variation of the Templar skirt/kilt thing he had in that leaked concept are (if that was him of course )

Is it right that the style of the armour/outfit will stay the same, but you can make some changes to it, such as the colour? I hope there are some options.  I did think that Cullen looked rather dashing in the concept art (if it was him). 

I actually missed being able to change the companion outfits in DA2.  I quite liked chopping and changing the companion styles in DAO.  I don't think I could have put up with Morrigan in her original outfit all through DAO!

It's hard to explain but it's a lot like DA:O in that you can swap out individual pieces of armor and they'll generally not look wonky on your character but like DA2 you won't see say Cullen in robes. I'd say that Isabela would still have her flair to the armor but you could clearly see what armor set the gear is from.

I personally loved DA2's armor system although I agree with you and Moto in that I wish they had swapped up the armors a bit more throughout the years, know what I mean? I hated that Origins didn't have armors that were that distinguishable between companions and they would lose some of their individuality when you equipped them with new armor.

There isn't much info for the new one except that you'll be able to customize your companions with armor but they won't lose their individuality. Win-win in my opinion.
