@RagingCyclone - ah nice I'm so bad at clicking on people who can be clicked on. I think I get too goal focused and forget why there are npc's in the world - even the ones I like! Cullen's just told my Hawke he's been hearing rumours about her. Not the rumours she'd like though /nudge /nudge.

Avilia, I do the same thing. I started clicking on him and some others after reading some things in the forums and talking to some friends who played and saw things I missed. I did this with Origins as well because for the longest time I absolutely hated Zevran. But to understand for myself why some found him interesting and appealing I tried different things and now I like his character a lot. I've been doing the same for DA2, and the only one I have not been able to grasp what his appeal is has been Fenris. Cullen was the one carry-over from Origins that I was interested in from the start because in DA2 he shows a maturity that he lacked in Origins, and is actually the only retcon from one game to the next I find actually works and make sense. He became interesting for me when we find him in Act 1. I think he would have made a better companion than Sebastian in regards to the ending. Nothing against Sebastian, I like him, but I think Cullen would have made a better companion. *ducks thrown object from Sebastian fans*

After you reach high enough friendship with him, (and are romancing him), if you click on him at the right times, he says the most swoon-worthy "I am yours", which I liked a tad more than Zevran's. Aww.

Ahem...back to Cullen.

I like Captain Gavorn Gideon Emery, and I always have Fenris at 100% Friendship in the middle of Act II. But his contant 'Rage-Rage-Rage-Mage' tone begins to get on my nerves now and then, especially when he can't keep his mouth shut and not say "empty promises!" in the face of a widow who is definitely in anguish.

And maybe that's just me, but he also looks like an escaped character from a JRPG...

I love clicking on Cullen at random spots, and would love to have a catalog of the things he's says. For example, they need to be added to his wiki page. Some of my faves are:

"I've heard some disturbing rumors about you, Hawke.[OR, your sister, Bethany] I hope they're not true."
and (paraphrasing)
"A dozen of our best men were just killed in the Chantry. Are the people here animals?" after you do Anders's first quest with Karl.
Then, there's the one Gala often mentions, where he regrets that the Starkhaven mages had to be killed. Don't remember exactly how it goes, tho.

I've never gotten one from him, that I can recall/re-click, where he talks about how Meredith had sent for the Right of Annulment.

EDIT: In light of those first fun convos with Cullen, adding pics from the time my Hawke caught Cullen checking her out. These still just crack me up.

@Monica, that's one of the mage armors from the first item pack. It's probably my favorite, next to the Champion armor, so I think my mage wore it WAY longer than was prudent. LOL

If you know how to use the GFF4editor, you can mod it so your Rogue can wear it. Just switch the 3502 value in the ITEM_PROPERTIES section to 3501 for each item (helm, chest, gloves, and boots), which with switch the restriction from Mage to Rogue... or, you can take it out all together or replace it with another property - just remember to compensate your changes. I wore that armour set the whole time through my Sebastian- and Cullen-canon playthroughs game after modding it to level up with me and a few other additions.
