I agree! I really am excited for who the companions will be!

Me too! I love the idea of seeing screen shots of their in-game appearance and then speculating over which ones will be romancable, what their personalities might be like, how they might be introduced etc.

Man, if Cullen is a companion this time round this place (or the companion thread made for him in the DA3 forum) is gonna be mental! Seriously, I think I might literally scream the house down in excitement. Alternatively, if he isn't then I can imagine this place being a somber few months until we get over it LOL.

Danny, what, why are you apologizing? If you are going to apologize, it should be for inviting me to play Farmville on FB: I mean what the hell boy?!

He did what now?!? Oh man, that's cause for a beheading right there!

Also regarding the blog post: a player being upset and depressed that a character and/or romance did not get a happy ending is not the same thing as the player being upset about not being able to CONTROL a character. Geez.

"There are people who did (and still do) think that, having selected Thane as their romance, they should have been able to cure him of his illness and make everything better. Why? Because he’s their romance, and they’re entitled to have it be a happy one."

No, actually, they're just depressed that their favorite character died. That is what fans do. They become emotionally attached to well-written characters and then feel depressed and angry when bad things happen to those characters.

Remember Lola, we are to have a funeral if he isn't a companion. I say post all previous pictures and stories we have made. Oh it'd be the grandest.

Its going to be weird though, when he [if he] becomes a companion a bunch of new people will suddenly come in and it will be so many that I am afraid that it'd be too overwhelming. I kind of like us just being this small group..

Yeah, I get that he had to die though. It's a shame he couldn't be saved, but I guess suddenly having a "cure" for a terminal illness like his would've felt a bit like hand waving over the original plot... that being said, they did it to the original ME3 ending. Dark energy? We've dismissed that claim. Pfft. <_<

I wont go near that romance, due to how it comes to an end in ME3. I mean, I cried just having a friendship with him, I can't imagine how absolutely heartwrenching it was for those who became attached through a romance. :crying:

I love that picture! It's Dragon Age related artwork like that (particularly the Cullen ones) that make me feel really impatient about waiting for more news. I want them to release the protagonist and companion info so that people can start working on the next wave of fanfics and fan art!

Hell YEAH. First thing I do when I see the new protagonist officially announced/shown is getting him/her commissioned via iTrixia. Here is some of her work

Yeah, for the first year the "DA3 Cullen companion thread" will be crazy, moving at a rate that would surpass us during our speediest days. But, after a while it'll calm down and the gradually you'll see a lot of people get bored and disappear, leaving just the "hardcore" Cullen fans. It'll be bigger than it is now, but we'd get more in-depth convo than we would during it's peak with the temporary influx and stuff.

Plus, we'd be like the veterans of the place. "We loved Cullen before it was cool" <<< we're like soooo hipster!

In the leaked script it was even sadder because if you romanced him Shepard reads the prayer to him and tells him that she'd been learning their culture etc.

Definitely! We'll make sure we put that one in as priority the minute we find out he's if he's a companion (romanceable or not)!

So, hopefully I'll be getting a new PC specifically for gaming sometime soon (before DA3 comes out in theory). My main reason for this is so that I can buy the PC versions of the DA games, install some mods and ensure that if there's any import flags, they can be modded and sorted for DA3. Also, if they decide to seriously hit Cullen with the ugly stick or give him a massive ugly beard, then I can mod him back to his former beauty LOL!

I know not of this Farmville...you must be hallucinating....and if you repeat this there shall be legal action...good day ma'am.

Anyway I'm apologizing to everyone because I was being a bit to...assish know what I mean? I didn't really mean to be rude, but it's not really a good excuse to still be rude, it was mainly an apology R2, but I hadn't thought of those players who can't even play their dwarves and elves and before the Couslands get anymore love we need some more love for our pointy eared or stubby legged brethren.

:D

That sucks. My current computer has trouble running websites, let alone games lol.

I should point out that normally I'm dead against the idea of changing the companions physical appearance. The only exception I'd make to the rule is (as I said above) if they hit Cullen with the ugly stick. However, IF he's ugly for a reason and it's important to the story, like being disfigured in battle, having bad lyrium withdrawal, got old or whatever then that's fine. BUT if it's blatantly been done solely to troll the fans then I won't think twice about modding the **** out of him. I'd only use mods that make him look as close to his "normal" appearance as possible though.

Yeah, the only reason I got an Xbox 360 was because my computer couldn't handle games and an Xbox was more in my budget at the time lol.

Same here. I had a pretty old computer that I would try to force run certain games on, but it was constant crashes and lag the entire time. My boyfriend bought me this gaming computer (got it for a good price since it was refurbished) and I've just been adding bits here and there to take it to that extra level.

He was thinking about popping in the thread since I talk about it all the time, but I warned him that it gets pretty concerning at times

Does anyone else get offended about some of the companion mods out there that completely change the characters features? Like the blonde/white skinned Isabela or that mod to make Leliana look completely different. I can tolerate the ones that make them look a little younger or improves textures, or tries to make their DA2 model counterparts look like their DA:O ones (and visa versa) etc. But changing them completely just feels wrong to me, it's like demanding your friend to dye 'n' cut their hair and change their style just because it isn't to your taste lol.

Am I a hipster? I didn't like him until after he was seen in that leak lol. Maybe I don't get the glasses but an out of date yet stylist fez? I didn't not like him, I just was a little more occupied with what the game would be about and wasn't completely understanding his love,  but omg if I tried to ask back then lol...I would have been tarred and feathered by some of Cullen's er livelier fans.

I really need to learn how to photo manip stuff I have so many ideas for funnies.

I don't like hitting buttons and moving my mouse to play games so that's why I play on xbox... even though I know you can buy a controller for the PC, but meh. Plus I got a 40 inch TV for xmas so pffft xbox it is xD

Okay Danny *pat pat* We shall speak no more of this o.o

After I played DA2 for the 20th time I did change characters' appearances, mostly Isabela, Merrill, and Aveline, just to make things different. I actually found a few faces that I love for Aveline and make her use all the time now.

I was a little confused with the Younger Wynne ones (there's a good amount of them) I mean....she's supposed to be old! Does it offend someone that much to not have young hot women surrounding them at all times?
