So, I am going to play DA2 tonight, should I play a male for once?

Play as a snarky male, he has the lines ever!

Will do! I just hate making a male and his voice doesn't match him. All I think of is default hawke with his beard thing when I hear him talk.

You know, Hawke was kind of attractive in the trailer but in game he looks hilarious to me.

Try it out with default male Hawke and see how you feel.

R2: Can you think of any awesome/funny/dramatic scenes in DA2 that would make for some cool new pictures of Cullen?

Trailer Hawke was a babe lol Default male Hawke is... well, for one thing, he's pushing 40. Which is fine, but then why is his mom like only 10 years older...

Okay, you guys convinced me; Cullen x beefcake Inquisitor is a go!!!!!!

Although I'm kind of wanting to make a "perfect" version of myself first a la Lola... :innocent:

I'm not R2, but how about "Cullen" throwing the knife at the slaver (rogue Hawke scene = i.e. coolest scene in the game)

Attagirl!

I always find playing the protagonist as if it was yourself works best for your first ever playthrough, simply because you don't know what to expect and have no idea how things will play out based on the choices you would make in that position. I find trying to recreate myself as the protagonist in character creator helps me get into the right mindset to not be tempted to do something that I wouldn't do IRL. I also always end up really annoyed that my eyes aren't a cooler colour, so I'm stuck with the yellowy/brown eyes.

I'd be really interested to hear about the outcomes of big events that happen to you all in-game if any of you decide to make choices based on your real life personality etc.

I still love how this turned out, tis a beautiful sight and gets me super excited for Cullen's new outfit. My favorite part is how he doesn't have a skirt anymore....but maybe Dawn of the Seeker spoiled me on that :P

Anyway whenever I think of what Cullen's romance is going to be like for you ladies I imagine it to be similar to the romance in the movie Ironclad which ironically has a templar for it's main character, He's a silent hero for a good portion of the beggining but he's EPIC when he finally starts to talk.

Anyway the romance is with the wife of a nobleman who's keep they commandeered and she is the primary pursuee (is that a word? lol) which I thought was a nice change from most of these stories. Anyway he struggles with his oath of celebacy as well as the deteriorating circumstances they are in. It's not exactly a picture perfect romance because in the end they end up together after the majority of their friends are killed in the fighting and her husband hangs himself....so I was a little...meh. Good movie though, really reccomend it.

LOL that reminded me of the first time I played Fable 3.

I was playing as the female, had made her look like me as best I could and had spared her childhood sweetheart from the chopping block. Anyway, in-game years went by and I'd just got to the part in the game where you rescue that woman's fiance, only to discover that it was my characters childhood sweetheart!

They have a heart-to-heart, he tells her he waited for her but over time presumed she had died and that he still loves her. He then asks her what he should do and I had the option to tell him to leave her for me, or stay with his current partner... I told him to stay with his fiance. Then I kicked myself because he was the only decent love interest in the game that didn't have a silly accent or scary face.

... Sometimes my real life moral compass bites me in the arse, even in games LOL!

How about that scene where the dog is barking at the closest/wardrobe and the guy is quivering inside?

It's not as good as Fable 2 and has a lot of problems, but I still had loads of fun playing it lol.

I adore that he doesn't have a long skirt in his survey leak concept art! I can imagine it would be incredibly impractical... plus, finally seeing a part of his body that isn't covered in loose cloth or thick armour makes him feel less untouchable (not like that perv... although I do intend to!) I know I'm not keen on his fluffy bits (shush you!) But it is nice to see him in something more personal, it's like we're finally getting to catch a little glimpse of his personality as a man, not a Templar. If that makes sense?

As for that film, it sounds interesting. I could imagine his romance playing out like that. It makes me wonder if he's taken a personal vow of celibacy, not for religious reasons, but to preserve his own emotional wellbeing and prevent himself from being a burden to someone who he loves.

I was VERY tempted, but I felt bad for the lady and she seemed really nice. Second time round I stole him away from her LOL!

Not gonna lie, the first thing I'm gonna do when I recruit him is see just how much of his outfit I can remove! :P

Looking at that concept outfit again, I'm wondering just what bits could be removed in order to be replaced by different pieces of armour/cloth/etc. Doesn't look as customisable as Cassandra's did.

... I guess it could just be his npc/cameo outfit?
