I KNOW!!!

... But one thing bothers me. Her admission about editing Cullen's dialogue, does that mean he's just gonna be a small fry again? Would you admit to doing the dialogue of a companion?

Hm, well, there we have it folks. Cullen is in Dragon Age 3: Inquisition 100% definitely (in some capacity).

I seriously doubt Cullen will be a minor character in DAIII. While not blatantly apparent, he has been making his journey through the lands of Dragon Age as well. He has gone from a psyche-scarred templar in Ferelden to Knight-Captain in Kirkwall to....who knows what in Orlais, maybe? But the main point is that he witnessed first-hand the events at Kirkwall, especially what happened to his commanding officer. To say that his belief system has been shaken to the core would be an understatement.

So yeah, I'm wagering that Cullen's story isn't done yet.  Posted Image

I went on the previous page and saw what you posted. Are they someone who had worked on Cullen in DA2 or Origins?

She was the one who I thought was editing Cullen's dialogue. Turns out I was correct!

True.

When I said small fry, I meant a major npc at most. I'm still not convinced that he'll be a companion, even though I really hope he will be.

Well, my philosophy is 'never say never'.

After all, Anders could not be romanced in Awakening and look what happened to him in DAII.  Posted Image

So, now we know that there are a fair amount of Templars still loyal to the Divine, I'm looking at Cullen's outfit from the survey leak and I'm thinking: Is it a unique outfit/personal companion outfit, or is it the Orlesian Templar armor? Presumably they'll still be wearing armor since the Chantry own it.

It seems like a unique outfit to me, and why would a Templar not wear their proper uniform? If they're a companion (presumably)! So, if that survey leak is legit and not completely obsolete... then maybe he is a companion after all?

Man, I wish we knew already so I can stop driving myself insane with this!

Nothing yet and she made it a few hours ago. I guess it's pretty much common knowledge that he's in the game anyway, so she hasn't really given anything away lol.

Well, there's common knowledge and then there's a dev saying they're working on Cullen. But there is so much circumstantial evidence now, that I suppose it's pretty clear he's in in some capacity.
1. Greg Ellis tweets he's recording Cullen VO
2. Gaider tweet: "Oh so that's Cullen's last name"
3. Very suggestive twitter interchange between Tonia and Cori May about listening in on VO the day of Greg Ellis tweet (Lola's p 442 analysis)
4. Confirmation from Cori May tweet that she worked on Cullen.

Let's not forget his survey concept art, we know the survey was legit now even if some of its contents are now obsolete.

Just read through the pg 442 analysis, that is some damn fine sleuthing there Lola! It's SO hard not to get our hopes up about this, especially with such tantalizing hints and clues pointing in that sort of direction. At this rate I am predicting that I will have a full head of white hair by the time DA3 finally does come out.

Lol thanks! It certainly seems like he could be a companion, but I'm desperately trying not to get my hopes up because I know I'm gonna really disappointed if he isn't. Obviously I'd still play DA3, but my intial excitement would definitely be dampened.

OK freak out on this --- that was almost 1000 pages ago. ONE THOUSAND PAGES AGO!

On that note... I'm to bed!

I just had a horrible thought. DG mentioned in his Tumblr post about love interests, that he liked different styles of romance, such as a companion who just isn't interested in your protagonist despite you flirting.

What if we flirt with Cullen, only to be told that his heart belongs to another, either the female Amell/Surana (if you played as them) or some random unknown person (if not).

I'd be sooo pissed off! I mean, sh!t it's been like 13 or 14 years man, time to move on LOL!
