If Cullen was still in love with Amell/Surana, I think I would be fine with that, because my Amell is on her own at the end of DAO and I always saw her eventually ending up with Cullen (Surana ended up with Alistair).   I am kind of hoping that the warden will appear in DA3.  In fact my dream would be that the Warden is the protagonist but that's not going to happen 

If it was anybody else, I would be peeved and probably chuck my controller across the room!

Pffft I think that would be pretty unrealistic and be a pretty naive and childish interpretation of love, which is a mistake I don't see a great writer like DG making. So no worries. About the Amell/Surana thing, anyway.

So we didn't talk about this last night regarding this red lyrium pic from the new World of Thedas, but doesn't that look like a templar??

MMG - childish and naive, perhaps. I will challenge "unrealistic" however, as I've had all 3 of these crazy scenarios happen to me in RL. LOL

That red lyrium pic is making my brain bubble with possibilities! I wonder if that is a Templar.... maybe he's down there investigating it's properties in order to figure out what about it sent Meredith over the edge?

I know that DA3 is taking place after Asunder, which is 9-10 years from DAO. Is it taking place 3-4 years after that? I wasn't sure.

The figure in the picture does look a bit like a templar, with the long skirt and carrying a sword and shield. As the figure is so small, it is very hard to tell. Just trying to think why a templar would be in the Deep Roads, unless it is part of DA3.

Looking at the World of Thedas book, I have found that you can search for a topic/word in the 'Look Inside' function. You can bring up a box that says 'Search inside this book'. Quite handy really as it brings up a list of pages that has that topic/word, including the ones not on display.

This would be a cool quest. From the text, it sounds like red lyrium was "first" discovered by Hawke and is now "known" to make everybody crazy, not just mages or templars or even humans. I wonder what else is "known."

Could it be like the Nathaniel quest...?

"What are we doing in this creepy, red lyrium filled cave? Wait... is that?  Cullen?? What are you doing down here?"

"I've been sent by the Divine to investigate this substance after what happened with Meredith... What is that sound?"

*cue bow chicka bow bow porn music*

Yes, all they've said is after Asunder, so it could start 9:40 and on. My bet is it will pick up 9:40 or a year or two later. But who knows.

Agree that it's probably DA3, but it could be any time after red lyrium is discovered in 9:31. I'm betting it's a response to Meredith going cuckoo.

I love my "homegirl" companions. In DA2 Isabel was my homegirl. Aveline like a big sister. Merrill like a lil sis.

Morrigan was like a homegirl. leli, too. Just diff types. There times when I like my ride or die friend. And other times I wanna go shopping.

I recall them saying that originally they weren't going to say anything until around May 2013, but what with the survey leaks, Greg Ellis' little out burst and the stupid rumour that Ray Muzyka 'n' Greg Zeschuk left BioWare due to them not liking the direction the company was going in, so they decided to release the official DA3 announce early to quash things since there was no denying it was being made.

Yeah I dunno. On the other hand I've seen some of the other, non-newsarama pic posted on Facebook. So I'm not the only one... heh, just the only one with some of these images since I still haven't seen them anywhere else. Anyway, I'm torn. Been thinking about putting them on tumblr, but don't want to get busted. Folks post stuff that doesn't belong to them there all the time, with attribution. So maybe it's fine..?  Plus, it's free advertising for them. /muddled
