All this talk of Val Royeaux being up in flames makes me kinda sad. If we're playing after the events of Asunder then the place is likely to be a bit of a mess... and if it isn't then the magical blast (if it happens) is likely gonna ruin everything anyway lol. I kinda wanted to see it in all its glory before it went to sh!t.

I really need to finish reading this!

It is, I just pick the worst times to start reading it. I'm only at the part where Wynne has just taken them from the Circle, and they're on horseback. Oh, and the templar chick just kicked some major tushy at the tavern.

I think Cullen's quite safe from Evangeline, she seems rather taken with Rhys!

I've just watched the exchange between Cassandra and Leliana at the very end of DA2 again:

Leliana: "So... did you?"

Cass: "Gone. Just like the Warden"

Leliana: "That is no coincidence"

Cass: "So, do we proceed with the original plan or keep looking?"

Leliana: "It is in the Makers hands now. We put our faith in him"

This got me thinking, was reforming the Inquisition the "original plan" Cassandra's refering to in this scene?

Perhaps Leliana/The Divine/Whoever suggested that they try to find the Warden 'n' Hawke first to seek out their help before doing anything drastic? Of course, being unsuccessful in their search Cassandra suggests returning to the original plan but Leliana basically tells her to "wait and see". Things progressively get worse over the course of 2+ years in the Warden 'n' Hawkes absence (presuming that their still missing) and the events surrounding the Asunder novel are now in full effect.

Thedas is fast approaching a crisis point and (if the survey leak is to be believed) a gathering in the name of peace occurs. Suddenly, sh!t blows up, people die (or whatever the catalyst to take action is) and finally they resort to the original plan and reform the Inquisition. Perhaps they'd had their eye on our new protagonist for sometime, saw the same potential shown in the likes of the Warden/Hawke and that's why they make him/her the lead Inquisitor, or maybe it's just "chance/fate" (with a little interference from Flemeth thrown in for good measure).

Whatever it is, I'm willing to bet that Cassandra's "Original plan" has something to do with the re-emergence of the Inquisition. And if you really think about it, having the two biggest heroes in Thedas just suddenly disappear is enough to make anyone panic! The Divine and anyone with half a brain cell already know that something REALLY dangerous is on the brink of occuring, much worse than any petty civil war or rebellion.

(Just to note: my theory is based on the assumption that our protagonist will be the Inquisitor/part of the Inquisition!)

Hey all. What I miss? Was making an approval guide. Hopefully Fenris with 170 friendship points with have him locked into friendship.

From what I saw regarding Orlais and everything. I imagine it will still be beautiful, but have some of that splendor kind of covered up by fighting. Val Royeaux will probably the least touched by any fighting with it being closed off, but may still have refugees in places like the Grand Cathedral.

Fenris approval is so buggy! It took me 3 playthroughs to get him to romance level

PS: I wonder if the Architect has anything to do with the disappearances

So apparently a few days ago DG said in one of the threads that DA3 is currently on target. If things keep up we'll definitely have the game this year.

It's thought that the 2014 rumour was journalists confusing it with EA's financial year or something.

Something interesting from Mike Laidlaw:

"Elves can become templars, yes, though racial biases in the largely-human organization usually prevents it."

Interesting. I wonder what was the Original Plan? I don't see why they couldn't start an Inquisition and keep looking for Warden/Hawke..

But they're now leaving both to the Maker.

You know, if Warden/Hawke re ones seen capable to stop the conflict. I imagine there would be others looking for them. Others that perhaps did not want anyone stopping the conflict.

And conversely, maybe someone has them that knew they were in deep trouble and whisked them way to protect them from shadowy assassin's, or something.

And sooo, if I killed Anders, where does that leave Justice? I didn't trust Justice when playing DA2. I always thought he was some demon that tricked Anders. Played on his sense of "justice for mages". Then I played DAA, and formed  diff opinion of him, but....I still don't know abt. that spirit.

I hope Justice is dead >.< Also hope my Tranquil!Anders theory would work to so that Justice would die. But I just don't know what the canon is for that situation (killing the host or separating the host from the Fade). Does the spirit die? Or become bodiless? Or get sent back to the Fade?

Well, I would hope he gets sent back to the Fade. Just please don't possess yet another innocent person :(

MY GOD Can you guys imagine if Cullen were possessed by Justice?!?!? :o

That would make so many ppl unbelievably happy. I mean, as PC. If BW jus said, "Ah, eff it. Let's give them some races to play."

Alas..

I'm okay w/playing human PC meself...but the rivers of happy fan tears that would flow from such a thing. Always a thing of beauty to behold.

DA3 related tweets:

Mike Laidlaw: "We thought this would be kind of cool so we came in over the weekend and made this prototype.” - Magical words on any design team. That goes double when your team’s on a new (to us) engine. Means we’re starting to master its intricacies, and have a RPG core in place."

Mike Laidlaw: "It’s a very powerful tech, but not natively an RPG engine. Thankfully this isn’t our first rodeo." - In reference to Frostbite 2.

*Name removed*: "So r u really delaying DA3 for the new consoles? I already have been missing my DA, can't wait 2 get DA3 I have played all of DA"

Mike Laidlaw: "It's a rumor. So far still on track for late this year. If any delays happen, I'd rather they be for quality than any other factor"

LOL No kidding. Of course, we have no idea if there is even any link between templars/seekers and inquisitors in the future, but that would def be unfair.

BUT!  It conjures all sorts of plot bunnies about the experiences of an elven seeker... Ah, so little time...

Me too!

I only hope that my PC will run it. From what I understand, the Frostbite engine is a lot more sophisticated and does a lot more, but it's more efficient. Maybe we'll be OK.

My worry as well. *gulp* But then... I still enjoyed DA:O on a crappy PC with low graphics settings. I can do it again! LOL
