Many would accuse him of being a mage sympathiser... and probably even use his past infatuation with Amell/Surana against him (if you played the female mage origin). Bottom line is, if they wanted to nail his balls to the ground to prevent him from running to the Divine or whatever then they've got enough "evidence" to do so.

Yeah, I think there are enough holes and grey areas in his story that it would depend an awful lot on who got to decide his fate. Plus, there's seems to be no formal understanding of what really happened at the Chantry level, or why would Cassandra still be in the dark in 9:40?  So I think Cullen got totally frakked over, poor dear.

You never know, maybe we'll get to break him out of that dungeon or rescue him from a torture chamber? Poor thing.

Yeah, I could imagine him wanting to protect the protagonist and worrying for his/her safety even though we'd obviously be a badass, so maybe at first he'd feel a bit useless. But really, I think he needs looking after the most.

Yeah, this is my headcanon as well, that he's big on the protecting. An idea I really like is that he's so much about protecting the collective that he can't think about himself as an individual and tend to his own needs. That could make him a sucky boyfriend... but one I'd be willing to "fix."

They were pissed off because he ditches the Warden if you spare Loghain's life, they said he was betraying the Wardens and Duncan's trust and throwing his toys out of the pram because he can't get his own way lol.

I could imagine that would be one of the reasons why he tries to ignore his feeling for the protagonist, because he'd feel selfish for thinking of his own wants and desires instead of the great good etc.

I got put off by the Bethany/Cullen pairing after one particular NSFW fanfic went on and on and on and on and on with this one particular scene. One minute they were all romantic, the next Cullen was saying something awful to her, then she'd cry, then she'd get her own back, wash, rinse, repeat.

One of the things that has bothered me the most was the DA confession about "How can they love Cullen and ignore Alain?" It was just such a fundamental misunderstanding of both Cullen and his fans. It's in the same vein as calling Anders a terrorist and saying all his fans love terrorism. Yes Cullen does some bad things, voices bad opinions, and so on and so forth. We like his character, his personality, everything about him, and that includes the bad stuff... otherwise he is a boring character (if he's 100% perfectly good).

Being a fan of a templar character does not mean I support suppression.

But, what haappened w/Alain. I stood up for Alain. And he was still there in the Gallows.

I told them to execute the rest, but not for the reasons cited by Hawke--they went against the order..blah, blah.

It's cuz they messed w/my Bro. And threatened to kill him. Mess w/my Fam, all bets are off. Sorry. "kille em all!...except for Alain.."
