Ah well, just differences of opinion. I felt DA2 was the diamond and DA:O was the coal lol I don't think I'll be completing another DA:O playthrough... though if I had mods, I might consider it. Just being able to change outfits (i.e. make them not suck) and play with character faces and such can really spruce up a game.

I just really don't want DA3 to suck. I know it won't, but I don't know if it'll be as good as DA:O was. Sounds stupid, but if there's even a remote chance that Cullen will be a companion/LI then I really don't it being ruined by a rushed feeling game.

Don't get me wrong, DA:O had some huge downfalls to it, but it was the interaction with the companions/npcs and the scale of the environments/levels that made it shine (for me). I like DA2 as well, but I just wish we could've had more interaction and less waves of fighting.

Mods frighten and confuse me. (Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer lol) Will I be banished if I admit I've never used a mod.... ever? I'm convinced I'll end up with a virus that'll make my comp explode in my face. Both games have their merits and faults. For instance, if I had to spend another moment in DA:O Deep Roads I was going to set myself on fire. lol

DA2 may have trumped DA:O for me had there been more companion interaction, ergo making me feel more part of the story.

Oh gawd yes! The fade and the deep roads are what put me off doing another full playthrough, just the thought of running around those two areas for the 20th time makes my eyes bleed LOL!

I think if I had played DA:O first I would have been seriously pissed at the decreased amount of companion interaction, and how everything was "set" in certain places.

It's good to fear viruses. However, if you know a wee bit about computers and how they work and such, you can get over your fear of them and hopefully embark upon the world of modding. (I don't have DA on PC but I do have Sims). The virus won't come from the modders, but it could come from the hosting company where you download the file (i.e. Mediafire) ... usually a mod comes in a zipped up rar file. Download that file then scan if with your virus detector. If it doesn't detect anything, then you can safely unzip the file.

Hope I got that right! I'm hardly a computer expert....

You're speaking Chinese to me right now. I can make you a cake that looks like a computer but that's where it ends for me. lol I appreciate the effort, though I may be a lost cause.

I think if I had played DA2 first it would've been my favourite game... at least until I'd try DA:O anyway lol. I was late to the party with DA so I played DA:O and then was able to jump straight onto DA2, I had been expecting the same kind of interaction and large varied environments and was kinda confused when I discovered it wasn't. I hated the fetch quests in DA2 also.
