For what little info is out there, I'm sometimes stunned that this thread is the most reliable place for good information, and that the people in this thread tend to be more informed than the entire DA3 forum combined LOL

True, between all of us we've accumulated more info than anyone else in the forum has. If they were nicer then maybe we'd share it LOL.

The tricky thing is thinking of DA/Cullen related topics of discussion to talk about. It was lucky we found those World of Thedas pictures otherwise this place would be suffering a lot more than it is.

I don't think we always have to talk about Cullen or DA. We all feel comfortable here and it's a great place to talk about games in general or just complain about what's going on in our lives lol 

Then when we get the urge to talk about Cullen, we know this is the place to do it, where no one will condemn you for being a crazy fangirl....

I've just found something interesting on Twitter. Some random person asked Nick Boulton (male Hawke's VO) if he was in DA3. His reply was:

"Sorry - Can't answer any questions about DA3 as it's not released yet. "

I know he does additional voices besides Hawke, but it makes me wonder if we will get a little cameo from him/her.

I hope so, I love his voice. He did a few npcs in origins, and it seems they like to recycle their voice actors.

Sarcastic male Hawke is my absolute favourite in DA2! My adore my male mage Hawke for that reason lol. It's actually kinda nice being able to consider the protagonist as a character in their own right, that's not to say I don't love my Warden, but I kinda wish she'd had a voice to participate with the other companions properly.

Very occasionally you'd get a  ,   or a slightly angry face lol... I think maybe those smileys have more emotion in them than on our Warden's faces LOL.

I was comparing the facial styles from DA:O and DA2 and I noticed that there isn't too much of a difference between the two (with the exception of the Elves). The biggest change was that the DA2 characters/companions have softer, less angular/sharp features (possibly due to improvements with the old engine) and the whole game leans slightly more towards a cartoony art style.

Based on that, I can't imagine the physical appearance of characters/companions in DA3 will be drastically different. Alistair came out looking a little odd in certain lighting but I saw a head swap on Anders body and Alistair's face was actually pretty close to the original. Cullen I think was just an exception to the rule with his transition to DA2 since it seems they decided to give him a complete makeover (maybe because he looked older than he was supposed to be in DA:O?)

Soooo in theory Cullen should look roughly the same as his DA2 model providing it takes place fairly soon after the Asunder novel, the only big change being whether they go for a more realistic art style or cartoony. Hopefully his facial appeance will improve with each game, kinda like Kaidan Alenko's did in the Mass Effect Trilogy, he was still clearly recognisable as the same character but it just got better with each game lol.

... Unless they've done a complete overhaul and decided to change the look and style of everything due to the awesome new engine, in which case my theory is very wrong lol.

Honestly, with Cullen, things can only go downhill from here lol He's gorgeous in DA2. He's more gorgeous than almost any other character. I think Nathaniel also came out super hot in DA2, but he's not around as much as Cullen for me to compare. Plus with Nathaniel is, let's be honest, 50% dat sexy voice lol

I did see the head swap for Alistair and I think he still looks kinda fugly. Maybe they were purposefully aging him? He looks boxy and overweight.

Alistair doesn't even look like himself. I mean, if he didn't have 'that' voice, he would be unrecognizable. Same with Zev. To me, DA2 was a little more animee style...not my fave, but it was ok.
