Who's your Shep in a relationship with?

I think that he just meant that he prefers a sense of failure to come with every relationship. Like in DA:O where Morrigan leaves you and Alistair can dump you. Not necessarily death, but something known from the outset know what I mean?

I would be okay with that as long as it's not mandatory. I would be so upset if they force you to kill Anders in DA2. I don't mind some up and down in relationship but forcing us to end a romance without a possibility of reconcilation would not be a good idea. I feel like they would make certain romances seem inferior because you won't have your Hollywood ending with that certain LI .

Agreed. So long as it's preventable then it's all good. If Cullen did die in DA3 or something horrible happened to him surrounding the romance arc and there was no way to save him/the relationships then I'd certainly feel like maybe the writers had purposely done it to troll us for being so irritating. Same as if he's been hit with the ugly stick I'd feel like it would be their revenge for us "objectifying him".

Well, according to some people, women are created for men to penetrate. :innocent: I don't think there's anything wrong for men to be objectified every once in a while. :P . It would be silly for Bioware to punish Cullen fans just because some find him attractive. He does, but that's not the reason I like him. I probably like him way back when I play DAO. I feel like with all the craziness that had been going on in his life, Cullen deserves some happiness in his life for once.

You erm, want to avoid them.
Nah, I shouldnt say that.... wait no I will say that about Jacob lol
Thane is  sweet... but you just know he isn't heading down a nice cheerful happy ending path.

(arg I cant type, excuse the spelling / typos)

I've been objectified plenty of times lol. God forbid I watch the notebook or have a smackable behind...gah. Seriously all through high school, girls I didn't even know would come up and smack me on the ass and giggle. I'm surprised they didn't get expelled lol. It felt kind of wrong though, idk. My ex did it and it was fine....not when they did however...so meh.

I wouldn't mind a lady character or gay male character that has the chance of objectifying men,,,idk though didn't Zevran do that to you anyway, until you fully romanced him?

My Shep ended up with Kaidan at the end of ME1 (Liara just annoyed me, she comes on too strong and Kaidan was sweet).
Going through ME2 at the mo, I have picked up vibes that he's not in ME2 so much though. I like the fact that she has his photo in her quarters!

Good choice. If you decide to stick with Kaidan (even though he's not in ME2) you'll be safe. He's 100% loyal. I'm gonna throw you some tips for the third game now:

1) When the first bad thing happens, make sure you buy Kaidan a bottle of alcohol from the shop and visit him regularly. (You'll know what I mean when the time comes).

2) Download the free extended ending DLC (it's super important you do that, otherwise you're gonna end up very upset)

3) When you get to the end of ME3, pick destroy if you want the "best" ending.

Zevran had a line saying that the male warden is attractive even before you fully romance him, but you only hear it if you initiate the conversation. I find it refreshing that Anders actually hits on you without you telling him to. Too bad they're probably not gonna do it again soon due to all the insecurities from guys. Well, I romanced Alistair halfway then changed it to Morrigan, so I'm not too sure the extensiveness of Zevran's flirtation, but I do remember the initial conversation where he hits on you though.

Kaidan yay :D
My sheps always ending up with Kaidan right through to the end, tried cheating on him, but ending up deleting the save heh (same with Virmire, couldnt do it, had to relaod, sorry Ash lol)

I'm hopeless, I always end up romancing the same person lol. Always Kaidan, always marry Vilkas in Skyrim (not that Skyrim romances are really romances lol) and I usually go Alistair in DAO Sebastian or Fenris in DA2 - though I am playing both of the DA's again and having different romances for once. Sadly I have only seen other romances via youtube

I can't believe you have been harassed in that way.  Sorry to hear that.

I kind of looked at Zevran as a salacious flirt, which I quite liked in a way!

To be fair, he did go on a date with someone else at his friends' request, so he's not exactly loyal but close enough.

Just to add, I think there is a point system where you need to be nice to him during your visits or you'll be put in the friendzone by him or certain option won't be availble during certain event at midgame.

I'll add another!

4) Make sure you work at getting your EMS up, even if you need to look up stuff on the net! - there are ambient conversations you can end up commenting on in ME3 - or pick up quests from if you hang around, that give you points. If it ISNT high enough... you really dont want to see the ending >.>

I need chocolate icecream again.

Thanks for that.  Much appreciated.

I got something in my box that said I can download the exteneded ending for free on Xbox live.  So I will do that first thing when I come to play ME3 :)

Only cos his friends made him because he'd spent 2 or 3 years pinning after a dead woman. He didn't know Shepard had been brought back to life.

It was nice, I think my only quip with the whole a fair was I couldn't let him down gently, know what I mean? I have no issue with him flirting with me, honestly didn't really notice it to much the first time, but then give me the option to say, "I'm sorry, I just don't have feelings for you/or men in that way." I felt like an uber d!ck for turning him down, outside of that awkward no thank you phase.

It was nice to see Isabela sort of sex up my Hawke though lol. "I'll even let you choose where I plant it" hurr hurr. Liked Fenris' flirt a little better though, kind of toned down and could be taken as anything. Knew it was a flirt, but it didn't make me feel like a douche for avoiding the subject.

Newschmoo: Also, have Mordin escort the survivors back to the Normandy during the ME2 suicide mission, send Tali through the air ducts, have Miranda and Garrus lead the two teams and Jack or Samara do the big biotic shield.

Do the Suicide mission as soon you've got Legion loyal otherwise your crew will die.

It's no problem, it's over, now it's just a funny story or a way to show how men can be objectified in a less...rapey way lol. Zevran is awesome. I always travel with him at the end of Origins. He comes along on my adventures until Awakening apparently which was kind of awesome. Plus I love the little comment Oghren makes about Nathaniel when you recruit him.

First time I did it Mordin died because I sent Thane back with the crew instead. Second time I checked out who should do what and got a full survival rate.

Don't recruit Legion until you've done most of the loyalty missions. Bring him along for some extra dialogue during Tali's though. I'd wait until it's her turn to recruit Legion as you can then do both of theirs before the finale.

Many thanks, I have written all this down.

I am going to make a helluva load of saves just in case! I think some planning will be needed!

I wonder if DA3 will take a leaf out of Mass Effects book and have us pick between two companions to save/go with? Like, maybe we get into trouble but we can only save one of the two companions or depending on who you side with you either get one character in your party or the other (kinda like in The Witcher two).
