They closed that other thread, haha, cause apparently it was too silly. I have never seen a thread be closed because its silly.

I will be panic-stricken if all the heart options don't lead to romance LOL DA:O drives me nuts, never knowing if I'm picking the wrong response and am screwing up my chance FOREVER to romance this person.

About Aragorn and Arwen; I believe Aragorn died naturally of old age, and a year after his death, Arwen chose death as well. She is of Half-elven blood and can choose to die. Also, she never appears in the books; she's basically only a footnote. We have Peter Jackson and his (female) writers to thank for her more substantial presence in the films :)

Idk though, being able to "woo" my LI gave me more of a pay off than simply choosing the flirt option if that males sense? I didn't mind either, but making my character unavailable because of more than just sexual orientation would be a nice added bonus.

I mean once I locked in Morrigan our casual enconuters became more about love and caring for one another so why not make the actual bondin/courting period the "hard part"?

Just my 2 cents :D

All this talk of wooing - can I just add that I wouldn't be put off if the LI tried to woo my character? I know many were not fans of Anders' showing interest so maybe it could be something that isn't triggered until you chose that first flirt option, And I should also say that I liked the gift system better in DA2 .... except that no one ever tried to give my character a gift. It still bugs me. I just want to feel like my LI is into my gal/guy once in a while. lol

Wooing is good.

Also I would like more...tender romantic dialogue options. In DA2 everytime I wanted to "flirt", or let them know I was interested--it had a tendency to come off s very smarmy.

Like w/ Sebastian. I wanted to let him know I had sum Feels for him, but damn--that actual dialogue was rather Hoochireffic.

I would like the option to have romantic dialogue that was more sincere. Not quite so casual suit Larry all the time.

I didn't mind a potential LI showing intrest, even flirting a bit. Isabela is guilty of it too, though I'm sure she gets much less crap about it.

Can't say I really see Cullen making the first move however, even if he's past that awkward, stuttering phase he was in when we first met him in the Mage Origin. If anything, it could be handled the way Kaidan approaches Shepard in ME 3, if she didn't romance him in the 1st game and hasn't activated a romance yet in the 3rd. He pretty much tells her that he's really appreciated her friendship and her role as their leader, but he has come to admire her more than his commander and wants something past friendship. It was really sweet, yet still sticking to his type of strong personality.

Cullen would approach a romance in a serious manner, not casual such as Anders, Isabela, or Zevran. If he were to make a move first, I wouldn't want it to be until his approval is insanely high, and in a way that makes it clear that he isn't looking for just a fun flirt.

Yes! YES! YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!

*looks at Zevran* Yeah you come off all strong and sexy but when it comes down to it, *I* had to make the first move, didn't I?!

More Anders and Isabela types, please!

Although that said, I also do not see Cullen making the first move lol

I doubt Cullen would make the first move either, unless as littlenikki suggested his approval rating were super high. Maybe he'd make small chivalrous gestures that he'd see as showing affection but the PC would be thinking "Oh, he's just being nice."

Let's try someone who woos but not horn dog woo since they've already gone there with Zev and Isabela.

Just thought I'd leave this here. Ran across it today: It's from an interview w/Neil Thompson--Sounds exciting to me.Color! Yay!

"The forthcoming Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be a feast for the eyes,
according to BioWare's Neil Thompson, thanks partly to DICE's Frostbite 2
engine, and partly to art direction that avoids certain tedious
clichés."

.............."Can you make fantasy beautiful in a different way? We think we have
something special for Dragon Age 3: Inquisition," he mused, adding that
the game will shun the "subdued colour palette and harsh brown feel"
typical of much current fantasy media.
...."

Soooo I've totally been banned for 24 hours from posting in the threads, apparently it was because I was bickering in the "Gaider on romance", who knew that standing up for gay rights and supporting the devs could get you in the sh!t LOL! But it's ok, cos I logged into this one instead!

OK, so just looked at the Gaider on romances thread. What exactly did you do that was so offensive?? Did they delete some of your posts? You seemed pretty polite for telling that person to be respectful to DG.

There are a lot of people whose posts I ignore on this forum. When I see their name, I just scroll past. Don't even read what they write. I think I'm going to have to start writing them down, though, because the BSN is so full of trolls and genuinely hateful and ignorant people that I can't keep track of them! I was going through an old thread, for example, where I had posted something nine months ago, and someone responded by insulting me. I had totally forgotten that he'd done that and have been used to thinking of him as a nice person. But... well, it's been nine months; since I'd forgotten it, and he's not a repeat offender, then I guess I should let it go LOL

I think the "mod" must have erased what Lola said cause she said what she said on FB and it ain't in that thread anymore haha

I called one guy a dick (but it whilst sticking up for gay rights) and then I was being a smart arse whilst the user started being a dick. I also stuck up for Gaider.

Gay-bashers and haters should be called out for being dicks. Not sure what the controversy here is!

Agree. I know they don't want to encourage namecalling and the like... but honestly, the mods should have shut that whole line of discussion down much sooner, from what it sounds like. It shouldn't be left to the other posters to police d!ckheads. I wonder if they need to annoint more of these seemingly non-BW mods to  crack down.
