I think that's why I love the idea of an Orlesian masquerade ball so much, especially after reading Asunder. You just know that if we attend one it'll be full of ridiculous nobles trying to play "the game", it's the perfect place to encounter sleazy individuals and amusing situations!

And leave it to us to turn the whole ball into a riotous spectacle that will be gossiped abt for years to come.

Imagine it, giant skirt hoops and ruffled cravats everywhere. Disheveled powdered wigs. Beauty marks smeared. And we get dragged out by Cheve..Cheva...uh, Cheveliers *mumbled it quickly*

It would be GLORIOUS!  I'd love to be able to run around the ballroom listening in on npcs ****ing about other nobles and maybe use different approaches to try and extract information out of them.

Another idea I really like is a street festival that happens for a fews days (set as one big quest with lots of little quests inside it).

So for example, we need to steal something important, but in order to do so we need to distract the guards and the crowd. We'd then assign our companions to do different things (like sending Sera in to pickpocket a guard for his keys whilst the other companion distracts him by flirting), meanwhile we send another companion (or two) to distract the crowd (maybe by getting up on stage to "entertain" the masses). Depending on who you send to do what tasks, you'll get different scenes (kinda like in DA:O where you can pick from different companions to rescue Alistair and the Warden, the combination of companions used changes the out outcome of the scene).

I'd totally send Cullen up to entertain the masses, maybe he'd sing or have to put on a ridiculous costume 2 sizes too small for him LOL!

There will need to be at least one in our party who has a sense of decorum and class.... they'll be the one standing calmly in the midst of the mayhem, still sipping their wine and knocking a few passers by in the noggin with their walking stick when no one is looking. Like Hawkman during the football fight scene in Flash Gordon from the 80's. lol

Edit: For reference see 0:43 -

<3 Brian Blessed! I love that man!

Now I want a Qunari (or whatever their proper race name is) companion with the personality of Brian Blessed. My gawd, he'd be my new bro!

That may create a black hole somewhere. Do they even have the gene to be jolly and awesome?

That's why it would be awesome, because he shouldn't be like that LOL!

It's funny, when I first saw the survey leak the two people that I was least interested in was Sera and Iron Bull, but now I think they're fast becoming the two unknown companions that have peaked my interest the most (if they're in the game, that is).

As for the two already known characters on that list, Cullen interested me greatly (of course!) And Cole, because I'd be intrigued to see how they would make him a companion when hardly anyone can see him or even remember him half the time lol.

Methinks Cole and Iron Bull will be the two unromanceable companions. (Basically, aside from Cullen, the two I'm most interested in lol)

Cassandra and Sera the romanceable girls. Cullen and Dorian the Mage the romanceable males.

No dwarves =\\ Only one elf. But a qunari. So, should be interesting.

OMG meanie, I love you for that Vultan ref. that was exactly what I pictured before you mentioned the movie ref. LMVAO

I still don,t have any thought one way or another on the companions. I just imagine there must be a funny/snarky one, so I've now pinned that on Sera.

Wow, you guys have been busy these past couple hours! Ohh, and good to see you were able to get your account unlocked Lola! ^_^

Probably a very stupid question....but who the heck is Sera? Is she the concept art elf from the leaked survery? I had no idea she actually had a name, or personality. I must really have to go back and take a good look at that thing, it seems I missed a few important details.

I hope if we get to attend a masquerade ball, that our characters get to choose from appropriate apparel. I've seen that in MotA that female Hawke wears the same exact (or very similar to) outfit as male Hawke, seems like that would make her stand out against all the other females in ballgowns, poofy skirts, etc. It's a silly thing to care about, but I want a frilly dress, in which my PC will then destroy as soon as the real action starts!

I wouldn't want to romance Cole or Iron Bull. I'm hoping Iron Bull will be the new "bro" for DA3 in the same way that Varric was in DA2, if his description is anything to go by he kinda reminds me of Black Whirlwind from Jade Empire (he was my favourite!) Cole I don't think would be romanceable for obvious reasons lol.

I think Sera will end up being my favourite female companion if she's as mouthy as she sounds from the descriptions. I'm hoping that we'll get another dwarf companion, maybe a female one this time? I wonder what Dorian will look like? For some reason I imagine him having dark hair, being a bit of a charmer with a slight air of arrogance to him, but I think that's because I keep mistaking him for Gaylan in DotS lol.

Thanks!

Yeah Sera was the Elf from the concept art, but she also had a description too:

"Sera is young, frenetic, and a brat through and through. She reveals in the athleticism of being an Elf, of being different. But her culture isn't Elven, or, for that matter, strictly human. It's the underbelly of the city. In her network of rogues, what you do is more important than where you're from, and friends open more doors than titles. Robs from the rich, keeps it."

LOL Not petty at all. That scene where your LI tells off Zevran in DA2 was golden!

Maybe YOUR LI did that, mine wanted to get into bed with him :P

Does Sebastian say anything? I'm still trying to get through this playthrough where I'm romancing him, but my guess is not, since a lot of things don't trigger as far as his romance goes.

I always imagine him to look like Dorian Gray from A League of Extrodinary Gentlemen, not act like him, but maybe have that demeanor. Then again I expect Tevinters in Tevinter to actually act like Dorian because he's all self-indulgent and such, I imagine Tevinter to have very few inhibitions.

...yes..there I said it, dammit! I would like that. Tee hee. A lil flavor. We're all up ion the tavern, or whatever. And sum goon tries to do something goon-y, and [insert LI here] hauls off and decks them.

Then of course it turns into a rolling melee of a bar brawl very quickly. And the PC & Companions end up having to hightail it out. The LI will never live it down. Lol!

For your and everyone else's pleasure

As soon as I read the description for the Iron Bull I was kind of annoyed, because what is the point in having a qunari if he doesn't even act like a qunari? Why would I want to romance some brute in a qunari's body... OH *blink blink, realizing* He's not a LI lol

*weeps bitter tears*

I think Cassandra will be my favorite female, though I think my first female LI might be Sera just because she's new.

Here's Dorian's description:

"Dorian Parvus is a magister. The title conjures fear of the arcane masters who once enslaved nations. Dorian may wield the power of the magisters, but he delights in not being what you'd expect of them. Brazen and clever, this outcast is on a crusade to rid his homeland of its corruption."

I'm trying to stick to the friendship path, for the chaste marriage thing. The rival romance doesn't even seem like a romance, as he implies he doesn't want to get involved until he's retaken Starkhaven right? "You deserve no less than a prince" and all that bullsh*t <_< Really Seb, I can settle for a hot would-be prince just fine *points to Alistair*

I haven't read the comics but I'm fully expecting him to be a bit of a show off, not with his magic exactly, but just in general lol. If Cullen isn't romanceable then I dare say I'll end up making a beeline for Dorian.

I'm hoping Dorian will be a sort of cute idealist, "I'm going to rid my country of corruption!! See if I don't!" Although "brazen and clever" makes him sound like some sort of Don Juan lol

sigh hard to say, he doesn't exactly propose... But he does say it would be the strongest alliance in the free marches, which honestly sounds like a verbal contract to me! LOL ....... Yes, I'm consoling myself! *sob* riivalmance you definitely get a whole lotta nothin' afterward. At least you'll get awkward chaste marriage comments in legacy!

I'm not sure, it doesn't say... that's an interesting notion that he might be an Elf though!
