His voice actor is amazing. Greg Ellis put a lot of depth into Cullen's lines that just might not have been there if a less talented actor had played him.
He does funny well too if his Awakening Anders was anything to go by.
Yes, and Greg Ellis even sings! He's an all-around multi-talented stage actor, movie actor, and voice actor. I really liked his acting for Anders in Awakening but, given that he was the original voice actor for Cullen in DA:O, I was glad that they got him back for Cullen's part in DA2.
If Cullen makes an apperance in DA3, it would be a crying shame if they switch out his voice actor.
Greg was supposed to do Anders voice for DA2, but his work schedule was too hetic so they gave the part to Adam Howden instead. I wonder if he would have still done Cullen's voice if he had been available to do Ander's voice instead? They sound different enough that I think he would have pulled it off fine.
I think maybe this was a blessing in disguise because otherwise I doubt they would have him do Cullen's voice in DA3. Here's hoping he'll have time to do the VA for him this time round, it wouldn't feel right id he was played by anyone else.
Yeah, I know that we (and Cullen) were lucky because of Greg's busy schedule. Anders really does sound very different and very unique in Awakening so it is possible they could have pulled it off. If they get a different VA for Cullen in DA3, it will completely fail to feel right. Greg Ellis does such a good job of conveying Cullen's inner conflict purely through the tone and inflection of his voice.
