Other reason you "Cannot" be an Amell....hmmm...

I don;t see location as playing a part cuz who knows where life will take you. Especially with Blights going on. And daughters running off w/their lovers.

We know the PC is gonna be human. So, it's not like if it was an elf origin...

Unless cuz Hawke was an Amell and the Inquisitors are investigating them for whatever reason? So, it wouldn't do to have an Inquisitor that's also ur cousin?

I think it's cute (his accent). The one that bothers me is the one that sounds like Arnold the former governor (notice how I got out of attempting to spell his last name). The Jarl of Whiterun's brother has that accent.

I know Fenris' VA is all over this game; any other DA people?

My thoughts about why we can't be Amell is that we will be some other family. Similar to Hawke being "HAWKE" (and AMELL) so Hawke couldn't have been, say, Cousland.
