So uh...just came across something in Act II, was curious if it has been addressed.
I'm in the Gallows, Anders in my party, when I confront Cullen about the "Tranquil Solution" that one templar was trying to push through. Anders snaps at Cullen, and Cullen outright calls Anders a mage, like it's no big deal.....
Wha??? I love Cullen with all my heart, but wow, he is a really ****ty Templar.
Meredith knows he's a mage, too, though, so I don't think Cullen's done anything wrong. In the pro-templar ending, Meredith directly addresses Anders if you bring him along in Act 3 for the retrieve the three apostates quest.
edit: although.. he is kind of a sh!tty templar! LOL

OMG!!! Sooooo cool!! Does this mean we've got a CGI trailer in the works? Or is this for in-game fighting do you think?? Exciting! Thanks for sharing!

See, I can understand why Meredith or the other Templars don't make a fuss about Anders in Act III, as Hawke is the Champion by then, and Anders is one of her friends/aquantices/lover/etc. In Act II though, Hawke is merely noble, so her title would create no protection for either herself, or Anders. Edit:
I know it's probably just something they couldn't really change, with all the variations in the game, and that would use too many resources and time to try and fix, but still it's just like "uh...alright then" I mean, it's sort of the same feeling I get when I first meet Cullen, after first having saved his butt with a whole lotta fireballs and ice spells.

Nice wiedzman. I like how well the alienage in Dragon Age II transferred over from the concept art. Looks just like it ingame.
It's interesting to learn how many volcanoes there actually are in Thedas, I think Denerim is built against one and Orlais has a series of them in the western half of the country. Seems like prime final level stuff to me

Well Varric mentions that the whole point to help with the Deep Roads Expedition and gain coin is to make it so the templars can't touch you. The reason they wouldn't be able to I think is basically Templar PR. If they go after the common folk it's kind of accepted, but noblemen are...privledged enough to be relatively untouchable.
It's sort of like in Awakening with the quest A Day in Court where that Ser Ox guy murders Ser Tamra (the lady who warns you about the nobles), but despite there being no evidence and him not saying he didn't kill her he could get away with it because he's a noble. Nobles are just handled differently, mage or no Hawke and Anders aren't technically touchable.

Cool, thanks so much for the updates, Wiedzmin! Wow, I love seeing the motion capture. So... maybe this is a dumb question, for all you game design savvy folk, why do you think they need more motion capture?? Do you think that means new moves? Or, do you think they have to re-do all the moves for the new engine?
It might be that they're simply making new animations for our characters. Which I wouldn't mind. It could also be for cutscenes I think, to make them more fluid like the Mass Effect ones, but honestly I have no idea either I'm in your boat as well R2

I have started using the PC version of DAO (just in case the DA3 is for next gen consoles) and have discovered the 'joy' of modding. However, I have a problem with the Grey Warden armour one, that for some reason isn't working. I only discovered this when walking into Irvings room -

It was a shocked, but a nice one (laughed and then felt a bit hot and bothered!) I have removed the mod as I didn't want Duncan walking around Ostagar like that (or to greet Cailan, would have been weird). I do have Improved Atmosphere (I used the appropriate folder) and Dragon Age Redesigned, so not sure what is conflicting. If there are any suggestions, they would be gratefully received

Motion capture would be great for facial expressions (particularly to show more emotion) which would be great. But looking at the photos, there seems to be a combat element.

Newschmoo, IIRC, this is a common glitch with the GWs of Ferelden armor. Trying to recall, I believe this is supposed to happen when the mod wasn't installed before you entered a new area. So, if you installed it while you were already in the Tower, then the GW armor disappears. Off the top of my head, I don't know of any particular conflicts with what you've mentioned, but have you looked at the GW of Ferelden notes on DA Nexus? I know they addressed this particular problem in the documentation somewhere, either in the README packed with the mod or on the Web site.

R2: Apparently they used mocap for MotA too, I remember seeing Felicia Day talk about it in an interview once. I think DA2 used it for the whole games combat, not sure about DA:O though.
