Okay, I'll come up with Cullen-related "what if's" to relieve the boredom!

1. What if Cullen's class changes in DA3? i.e. He's a rogue or a two-handed warrior instead of weapon and shield. Will you be annoyed?

2. What if Cullen reveals he has a close family member who is a mage. What if that person is an APOSTATE?

3. What if his "look" changes? His hair is no longer curly, or it's long, or it's the wrong color. All courtesy of the new engine, so the artists are like, "It wasn't our fault!"

4. What if in order to recruit Cullen you have to be very pro-Templar and kill innocent mages?

I see I missed some pretty pictures, and something about Sten being the Arishok? Sorry, I'm very lazily skimming over these past few pages.

And most importantly, Shades likes big butts...I knew it!

1. I think I would be slightly annoyed, well not quite annoyed but to see him with daggers would be weird. I wouldn't care if he became a two handed warrior though.

2. I think that would be awesome! Then you could have a quest to find them and such! Then after that, a touching conversation! But...that would seem too much like Alistair wouldn't it?

3. I would be upset if his iconic look changed. I mean, sure I don't like him just for his looks but...I sure do love them as well. Hopefully the engine shouldn't change much.

4. I would play my first playthrough as how I normally would, and try to ignore that I would have to be pro-templar and just not recruit him. Then after finishing that playthrough I would go back and be all "rawr! Lets kill them all!" to see how he, as a companion, would have been like.

I agree that a rogue doesn't fit his personality at all. But being two-handed wouldn't be a big deal at all.

Oh that would be very Alistair like. BUT I was thinking, specifically, what if this relative is KNOWN to Cullen and he is even in communication with him/her (perhaps a beloved little sister/brother) and has even aided in this person's escape. And has been aiding him/her for some time, throughout DA2. Would he seem like a hypocrite? (obvious question much??) Would I feel sympathy for him? (Sure)

I think it's okay if his look changes so long as it seems natural... if his hair just grew out or he grew some scruff or something.

Yeah I think I'd do the same LOL Poor second playthrough mages.

1. As long as he doesn't magically become a mage (hehe) I wouldn't be too annoyed. If he were to suddenly become an archer or such, I would hope that Bioware would at least address this drastic change, and not ignore it. That would be a bit annoying to me (but yea, archer Templars sound kick ass! Why do they all have to be warriors?)

2. Again, not going to be really annoyed, but that man will have some serious 'splanin to do!

3. Mod it, nuff said. I've been spoiled with the PC.

4. I don't really see being pro-Templar, as automatically meaning "killing innocent mages" so those are two different situation for me. I don't mind being pro-Templar at all, in fact I am a bit pro-Templar already. However, if I would have to play as a heartless b*tch who kills innocent mages for the fun of it to recruit Cullen, I would be stomping on up to Bioware pitchfork in hand!

Wasn't Cullen a two-handed warrior in DA:O during the Darkspawn Chronicles? I wouldn't mind him going back to being duel wielding again. I wouldn't mind too much if he was a rogue either... I kinda like the idea of him appearing all mysteriously in a black hooded outfit that hid his face, pulling a bunch of insane rogue moves to save our arse. Imagine our surprised as he reveals his face to find it was Cullen lol!

ooo, okay. Lesseee:

1) I'd be annoyed w/him being rogue. A 2 handed warrior, tho would be cool. I'd like the choice to equip him either as a 2 wielder, or a good shield basher.

2) uh...i'd find that weird.

3) I expect his look to change to a degree. I just they get the eyes right. That's my thing. The eyes. I'm sorry to say, but in ME3 I found Kaidan's eyes to creep me out. In most of the scenes. Not all, but they had this weird skeletor look to them.

I wouldn't mind his hair growing out, but plz try to keep the basic structure of his face so I'm not like wtf are you? or, ewww..

4) I'm not killing innocent ppl for anybody. Not if I can help it. If I have to be all Rawrz-y and I hate teh mages, regardless of anything...then we've got problems. Maybe on a future pt, maybe. I'm not one for killing innocents, tho. if possible.

1. I don't think I'd be too annoyed with a class change so long as it's addressed and makes sense to the story.
ie:"I had to learn to be incognito hense I am now a rogue", etc.

2. I'm open to a mage relative reveal. Again, so long as it serves the story well. Don't make it cheesy or predictable, please.

3. I expect his look to change with the new engine. I just hope it's not so severe that it distracts me and I feel like I'm talking to an imposter.

4. I'm willing to go balls out pro-Templar if that's an option. I just may cringe while doing it. To be fair, I usually go through all options at least once for science.

And the killing of innocents is a problem i hve w/the end of DA2. I mean, even when I''m trying to do a pro templar pt.

In the end I just can't see killing the circle mages that had nothing to do w/the Chantry blowing up. It was my crazy lover! I just can't do it.

And that sucks cuz I wanna do a pro templar pt, but in the end i have to say "I support the mages". But i don't--in that pt. I just don't support killing these particular mages for something they had no part in.

Yep. *nodnod* My pro-Templar Hawke, Eirik Hawke, is one of my favorites. I feel like I headcanoned more depth into that character. He disliked his sister, supported the Circle and Templars almost out of spite, etc. But when it came to the end ... he's not a monster who's willing to slaughter innocent mages! Hell, he couldn't even knife Anders in cold blood.

I can't write/play ruthless characters. It's too hard! I have to have a little bit of myself in them, I guess, and I'm a big gutless wimp.

Ooo, interesting:

Tim Griffith: "Alright Preflight.  I don't like you and you don't like me, but the sooner you let this through the sooner I stop bothering you." -(Preflight is all the checks that run when firing up DA3 to ensured no corruption happens to ruin the game files etc.)

Cori May: "Spoken like a true templar."

Tim Griffith: "I imagine a true templar would spend more time accusing it of blood magic and less time actually trying to fix problems."

Cori May: "And that's why you're Cullen, the templar who learns."

It's not really info, but it shows that Cullen has/will learnt to be "good".

And shows that the devs at least seem to see him as we do! i.e. A good man with faults.
