Ooo, interesting:
Tim Griffith: "Alright Preflight. I don't like you and you don't like me, but the sooner you let this through the sooner I stop bothering you." -(Preflight is all the checks that run when firing up DA3 to ensured no corruption happens to ruin the game files etc.)
Cori May: "Spoken like a true templar."
Tim Griffith: "I imagine a true templar would spend more time accusing it of blood magic and less time actually trying to fix problems."
Cori May: "And that's why you're Cullen, the templar who learns."
It's not really info, but it shows that Cullen has/will learnt to be "good".

And shows that the devs at least seem to see him as we do! i.e. A good man with faults.
Lol, so at least those particular personality traits that we "dreamt up" turned out to be correct! Suck on that, haters!

This is OT, but I read something once years ago. It was talking abt things of the soul..and..I'm trying to remember. But in a nutshell the example was a Roman soldier. All his life he was very pro Roman soldier-y stuff. But a moment came where the situation presented to him conflicted w/ everything he supported before..
I think it was some killing of innocents? Something. Point is, he let them escape. Or defended to the death cuz at that moment regardless it was the right thing. And that was scary for him. The repercussions alone. But he did it anyway.
This piece was saying how that decision in that moment meant more precisely cuz he had so much more to lose. He was a ruthless killer before, but for some reason--in that one moment he said , "no."
It was a big deal.
Anywho, I'm gonna go play sum DA2. I've played this game so much, I think my Fam is becoming concerned. Ha!

I have a feeling we're all going to be laughing loud enough to hear each other at what turns out to be true in game and what is rampant speculation. I can't wait! lol
"Hey meanie, I was doing the dishes last night and heard something. Was that you?"
"Yup, got to the part where Cullen talks about his father being a mage."
"Damn near broke my toe, you owe me a new plate..."

Nathaniel not being a full companion (an expansion doesn't count) is such a loss. Everything came together for that character. The background, the potential story acr, the look, the VA.
Sebastian is also a disappointment. Gorgeous character, fantastic VA, EXCELLENTLY polarizing in terms of character, personality, and outcome. But all in all, he comes across as an afterthought.
That's how I feel about Cullen. It's a crime not to use him!

I'll be pretty sad if he's not a companion AND a LI because I'll feel like it's a wasted character, similar to Nathaniel and Sebastian.

It really would be a crime. The character just seems so ripe for development after DA2. I bet they could really expound on Seb too. It's a shame he wasn't a full blown companion (meaning not DLC). Nathaniel I wasn't too keen on. I didn't hate him and it was nice to see his cameo in DA2 but I think I was too busy hoping he didn't murder me in the expansion to appreciate him. lol

Okay, I'll come up with Cullen-related "what if's" to relieve the boredom!
1. What if Cullen's class changes in DA3? i.e. He's a rogue or a two-handed warrior instead of weapon and shield. Will you be annoyed?
2. What if Cullen reveals he has a close family member who is a mage. What if that person is an APOSTATE?
3. What if his "look" changes? His hair is no longer curly, or it's long, or it's the wrong color. All courtesy of the new engine, so the artists are like, "It wasn't our fault!"
4. What if in order to recruit Cullen you have to be very pro-Templar and kill innocent mages?
1. If it changes I would shrug it off, nothing you can do right. But it would be weird, 2H would be ok but I see him as a sword and shield guy, would have to adjust.
2. Would be a great storyline. Something like Carver, to my imagination, he joined the templars because he saw a close family member as stifling because everyone was focused on them.
3. (Was it niki that said MOD it!) Yup, would mod him back to normal lol... unless its a good change ha, he could use being a lil older and roughed up
4. Honestly, I couldnt even play with Karmas companions because I refuse to side with the templars in DAO(and what comes after that, after seeing it once). To answer your question, I could probably do it once them would turn into one sad panda and not do it again. (and also grab a pitchfork .. and plane ticket... drats on being in Australia, too far away to visit the studio

One of the main reasons why I want to get a better computer, is so that I can download mods to pretty him up in DA3 if they hit him with the ugly stick or make him look daft.
They are going to beard him up Lola. A big, knotty, ginger beard....BE AFRAID!

Yes, his wonderful beautiful beard that he will grow! Someone could probably create some mini game of shaving it off. Shave pretty designs in it. Use it when it gets too cold or make a nice, itchy coat.
Cullen: Uh, what are you doing?
PC: My hands were cold. Ah! So that's where I left those Orlesian chocolates!
Cullen: You have been hiding food in my beard!?!
PC: Only when we're on the road! I use your old Templar Helm when we're back at the castle.
Cullen: I can't believe this! You were the one that left a rotten peach in there? I was cleaning out the mold for weeks!
PC: Quit talking, it lets all the cold in when you move too much.

Now I imagine Cullen with an exquisite comb, brushing his beard with these smooth strokes while the moonlight glistens off of him. Then he finishes, rises and shakes his head back and forth, in the sort of motion a woman does after brushing her hair and his beard tumbles all the down to his belly.

Oh dang, you're talkin about a Gandalf level beard there. I was thinking maybe a Thorin-esque, or even a Return of the King, battle at the gates of Mordor, Aragorn.
(One guess as to what I'm watching right now
