PAX is home to Boston, but splinter expos have been held in Seattle and Australia.

Finally got the avatar thing to work, it only takes half a year but who's counting. 

Hopefully, they release the information about LI up until the release date. I'm a bit afraid that Cullen may not make the cut. I'm happy that he's in the next game, but it would be even more awesome if he's part of the LI roster.

I think that if Cullen didn't make the cut in this game. It's unlikely that he will be made one in the following game. The game seems to be about the Mage and Templar, and if a game that revolves around the organization he's in and he's not available as a LI, it would be vnext to impossible for him to appear since they are likely to move on to the next issue in Thedas. He's also getting older. I don't know how old he would be in DA4, but based on the past LI, none of them are older or at least look older than 40. I want th know who the LIs are for DA3, but at the same time, I don't want to know.

I guess it depends when DA3 is set and how many in-game years it goes on for. If it's just 1 or 2 then Cullen could still stand a chance of a companion/LI the future, but if it lasts as long as DA2 did then it's unlikely. 

Personally I feel like this is probably Cullen's last chance, even if the events of DA3 only last a year or two.

Agree that this is probably the last chance. Not that he'll be sooo old, but that they need to move on. Like Battlebloodmage said, if they don't include him as a follower in a mage-templar focused game, then it ain't gonna happen.

Is it wrong that sometimes I feel that they just can't not include Cullen? As if, they need to? Probably terrible thoughts, I mean, it is up to them but to think that he wouldn't be in it after all the speculation and everything feels wrong. As if without him in it wouldn't make sense.

@Battlebloodmage: It is sweet to look at even if it's not my sorta thing.

I agree that Cullen's chances will go down drastically if he's not a companion this time around. Not completely, because it could be Chantry vs. Qunari in DA4, but it certaninly limits his chances as a LI. Though who knows they could surprise us and have a forty year old LI this time around.

Then again he could not be an LI this time around either, he simply fits as an attractive fellow who could have some depth as a romance.

That's sort of the double edged sword (if you'll excuse the phrase) of speculation. You can get this great hype built up and you play the game and it's the best thing you've ever played ever or your speculation falls flat and instead of landing easily it's harder because you were subconciously expecting all this stuff to happen.

Happened with me and SWTOR. I thought they'd be adding class quests after class quests, but they haven't yet

I feel the same. It's kinda like it seems so obvious to have him as a companion/LI that it's hard to imagine him not being one for DA3.

I feel he will be a companion,  I just think it's his time, I really do. 

I really love Battlebloodmage's avatar.  But it has made me realise I miss Kaidan in ME2 at the moment .  My Femshep is lonely.

Yeah, it feels like he'd be in a good position to become one given the whole Mage/Templar rebellion thing. I just hope the writers haven't been put off by us making such a big deal out of him.

How do you get an avatar that isn't one of your characters?

I am of two minds about Cullen. I want him desperately to be a LI. And if he isn't, I'll be a little depressed. I've somehow convinced myself that DA3 will be HIS story somehow, what with it being all about the mages versus templars, and Cullen's own inner thoughts are like a microcosm of that conflict. Like, he's THAT guy who wrestles with that particular issue (other than the player).

But then if he is confirmed as being LI, I also feel like that means one slot is already taken, and that means there'll be only one more guy for romance, and that's kind of depressing lol I'll get nervous, wondering who he'll be and if he'll be awesome or someone I have no interest in.

I'd be shocked if Cullen doesn't play a significant role in DA3, companion or not. If he's a companion, then NO DOUBT he'll be a LI. I don't think anyone has to worry there. It makes too much sense.

I've kinda slowed down posting over there. It's mostly the same topics over and over and over. Same negativity, same trolling, etc. I've noticed Bioware has slowed down posting over there too. Either they're busy or they're just tired of it too. I'd imagine this will all change once information starts  flooding out.
