You can, but you're not supposed to flip it while a game is running.

Thanks for the advice re consoles/PCs. This thread is v informative, I learn a lot!

You can have the 360 horizontal or vertical as it has little `feet` to put it in both positions. I currently have mine flat as I find it makes the disk noise for some games a little bit quieter.

Yes, that was a real big "d'oh" moment for me! I've not done it since!

that is a scry noise, tho. i've heard horror stories of disc shrapnel flying out at outrageous speeds.

but so far so good *knocks on wood*

how do you all feel abt just digital downloads? i like them. they run very quiet, and i don't have to worry abt scratches.

I can tell you guys never had a portable CD player... why on earth would you flip your poor xbox around while it's busy doing its thang? LOL

He SAYS we'll be happy about character customization, but he has a LOT to make up for. So... we'll see.

Well, that's kinda captain obvious eh? I mean, Bioware pretty much put that as one of the main goals of DA3's development. We know very little on DA3 but customization has always been something they talk about as a main point. They seem to think a big reason games like Skyrim are so popular is the amount of choice available to the player. I think they're right there. In terms of customization, I don't think it's just visual but player/character agency too.

When I'm playing Dragon's Dogma, all I do is cosplay my characters it seems like. That game had a lot of visual customization and I loved it. You could even change weight/height/limb sizes. It would actually play into the gameplay too. Fat characters wouldn't be blown away in the valley with high wind. Females had different gender reactions. They actually have a bandit camp that hates males. If you go in as a male, they attack. If you're female, you can interact with them.

I'd love to see that kind of customization in DA3...but I seriously doubt it.

Ive seen cosplayers do anything that is visually appealing clothing/appearance wise so could be. Though a companion is likely and the first thing I thought of.

It's sort of the same for me in all forms of media, except maybe books at times. I like having digital downloads for backup, but I also like actually owning the box. It's the same with owning comics or first edition books I, I just can't help myself.

I seriously need to get that game. I want to be a sort of...er spellsword like character with a sword and shield. Can I do that?

yeah, Deuce, i don't think they're gonna have that kinda weight "consequence" and limbs and stuff.

But darn it, if i can just my hands back on my squaddies armor I'll rejoice.

And better hair....

i'm glad they have more natural looking dark skin tones. it sounds like anyway. we'll see.

yeah, yeah there is something abt having the actual physical product in your hand. especially collectible items.
