Something I liked about that concept art of the Grand Cathedral is how dark and rainy it looked. Gives me hope that maybe we'll arrive on the scene one dark and stormy night lol.

Seriously, if the game started out with a scene of our protagonist on a dark and stormy night approaching the Grand Cathedral or whatever and then we take over from there, It would totally make up for the lack of playable origins lol.

Ah, so Asunder had already definitely happened by the time Cass and Varric had words.

But, to be clear, all MLaw said was the "post-Asunder" sentence, right? Or, was the other sentence, confirming the order of events, also part of the conversation?  That's the series of events I assume as well, but real confirmation like that would be nice!

I usually play a warrior first, because it takes  no finesse!  Then, depending on how good the supporting rogues are, I may or may not have to take on that role myself instead. So then that becomes my 2nd PT. LOL

I do still wonder how a mage character can be part of the Inquisition. Gah... I just really can't imagine it having no Chantry/Templar/Seeker connections, so I guess I'll need to hear real game info before I can dislodge that headcanon of mine.

Usually I'm either a rogue or warrior for my first playthrough, but I'm making an exception this time since I'm curious to know, like you said, how a mage would end up in the Inquisition. I'm also curious to see how people react to a mage now that the majority of them have rebelled since Mike Laidlaw said that characters and npcs will react to things like that this time round. But most importantly, I want to see if I can romance Cullen with a mage and discover how the romance arc would play out with that kind of potential obstacle (if he's romanceable companion at all).

Oh yes, I've been envisioning it for some time! I was going for Dalish archer, but remove the Dalish bit, replace it with human, and I'm still good. A country boy who longs for adventure or has somehow been separated from his family/village/clan. Gets caught up in all this mess. How does he become part of this nebulous inquisition business; I haven't the slightest lol

But like I even have two default appearances for him; this is assuming we have WAY better hair choices lol

You know... I just noticed for the first time that MLaw calls it specifically "DAIII" and not "DA3" like we usually tag it.  I know that the last one was technically DAII, so the roman numbering follows and matches the logo, but do you think that's what we should start calling it?

Hard to say. To me, it just looks suspiciously like the leaked concept art for the PC. Not sure if the hood is rogue, mage, or everybody.

Lol my first one is gonna be me, so as long as the option to have black hair is still available then I'm golden.
