Soooo it's Valentines day this week (or at least it is in England, dunno if it's the same everywhere else lol), what do you reckon the odds are of BioWare giving us some DA3 info? Probably too soon for an LI announcement this time round, I guess.

"Oh! Btw, Fiona is your mother. You'll probably find her with all the rebelled mages. Have fun!"
Works well for my playthrough anyway since Alistair's in a relationship with my mage Amell and her cousin Hawke is a pro-mage mage LOL!

LOL Yeah, that's sorta what I'm expecting. There's no way they're letting a live Maric muck up the succession. So, if they find him, he'll have to die before the comics are done, with a nice, heartfelt, sputtering, "I did love you, son, and your mother... Fi ... on.... a" *dies* LOLLolaLei wrote...
LOL yeah, just before he sacrifices his father/or his father sacrifices himself he's like:

Yeah, Maric kinda has to die really. Still, at least that'll solve Alistair's daddy issues if his father tells him he's proud of him etc.

Did anyone else really not like Maric? I don't think he was a bad king or anything, but he was kind of a fail parent, and his attitude toward Rowan during Stolen Throne made me want to feed him to a hungry High Dragon.

I've not read any of the comics, so I don't really know what he's like. He sounds like a slightly less dumb Calian though LOL!

I guess liked him well enough in the Calling, but I haven't finished ST yet. I did think he was sorta lame for being so willing to ditch his country and his kid, particularly so soon after Rowan's death. But, I figured that was supposed to be part of his grieving process. I haven't gotten past his sullen teen phase in Stolen Throne yet. LOLSable Rhapsody wrote...

Do you suppose all of this "The Witcher 3 scaring BioWare and EA" bollocks will encourage BioWare to speak out about DA3's gameplay or potential release date etc a little sooner, just to quash a few rumours etc?
Pfft. Maybe. I sorta hope not, since I'd prefer the BW devs stick to their own timeline instead of being driven by nonsense like the W3 non-news.

Presumably, if he is a companion then he'd kinda have to mention Hawke and Warden a few times, since he is the only link to both previous heroes (excluding Sandal and Bodahn of course).
Omg, wouldn't it be fun if Sandal actually saved Cullen's life on their way to Orlais! Like, maybe as Cullen left Kirkwall he ran into a spot of trouble. Bodahn and Sandal run into him on the road, so Sandal used one of his enchantments to "BOOM" away the enemies lol.
You mean Sandal and Bodahn saving Cullen's life somewhat like this? http://vieralynn.tum...permalink-notes

I don't understand. How is Cullen going to walk if he's on top of that strange-looking creature?
LOL

I liked Maric in the Calling, and he gets better after the sullen teen years, on ST. Loghain was a big surprise, he was a great character on ST and in the Calling or DAO he wasn't as good.
Also on the Calling the blame lies with Fiona, she is the one who cut him off from her life. We know Maric wanted to recognize Alistair as his kid so I think him leaving might have had something to do with that.

Good to know Maric gets better in ST! LOL I sorta figured, but strangely it's making it hard for me to keep reading. I am looking forward to getting to know Loghain.Renmiri1 wrote...

On abandoning his kid, I actually meant five year old Cailan. Maric just seemed to be running away from his life at the beginning of the Calling, and I felt so sorry for the little guy, having both parents leave him like that. With Fiona's baby... yeah, agree, she seemed to have her own agenda there!
