Yeah, except we wouldn't have any documents to legally bind people into working for us so we'd have to use other methods like blackmail, favor for favor... or brute force LOL.

I guess it's the same with most hero type stories that include saving the world from the "big bad", one hero brings together many unlikely allies for the greater good of one purpose.

Yeah, I think   you're right, that inevitably we'll be "an unlikely band of heroes" since basically every fantasy game like this borrows that Fellowship of the Ring model. But, you just made me realize for the first time that an independent "police force" type model for the Inquisition is awfully Grey Warden-like. But then, I doubt the writers would obviously  repeat themselves, so we'll have to see.

Yeah, that's why I'm so curious about this Inquisition thing. Are we gonna be like a non-Darkspawn version of the Grey Wardens? Or are we just supposed to be investigating this magical blast thing and then end up being pulled into the "bigger picture" because we dug too deep?

Unless the Inquisition IS the big bad? Controlled by whoever/whatever it is pulling strings behind the scenes. Ha! That would be a twist, discovering that we're working for the bad guy!

I still love this idea. Or even if it's not the Big Bad, you have to root out corruption at its core or something. It seems there are some cool ways to link back to the badness of the original Inquisition that way.

If I were a betting woman, I'd place a small bet on us not being part of the Inquisition at all. The odds of this happening seem low, but as  a result I think I could still make some good money that way... LOL
