Nope, can't shag him without a mod. I don't know how big a following he has. I think maybe some people just want to be able to snog everybody. lol

I don't know how big a following he has either, but presumably enough to warrant including him. I almost wonder if some of Karma's companions were chosen because they were temp companions already.  I know that Gimore and Jowan and Gorim (I think?) were, and Cullen had the files for it that were never implemented. Not sure about Tamlen, since I don't really recall the Dalish origin.

Yeah, Tamlen was a temp companion too.

He's the one knight you get to know. He helps protect you when Howe's men attack. (he also helps you fight off the rats in the kitchen)

TheMarySue points to an interesting study published last fall that actually catalogued sexist behavior with Halo4. Using pre-recorded, innocuous voice chats in male and female voices in game, they found that the female voice received 3x as many negative comments (of course, often gendered), and this was completely independent of skill level, which they also controlled for. Interesting to see an objective study done that isn't just horrible anecdotes!

Interesting article. I have to admit that I haven't really played many multi-player games, primarily because I think I'm not good enough to play against people (confidence thing), so would attract negative comments. I mean I have a headset for gaming, but never have the mike plugged in. It was interesting to see the comments were directed more against the voices rather than the skill, which surprised me.

It was interesting that they used Halo4 for the research. I have always seen Halo as more of a male orientated game. I have never felt the desire to play it. I think it's because it's a first person shooter and those games I just shy away from.

Re Ser Gilmore, I have him as a companion and the mod where you can shag him for my current playthrough. He is a good sword and shield man, handy in combat. But I don't see him as a romance option for my Warden though. She does have a soft spot for Ser Perth though.

I didn't know that you could sleep with Dairren or Iona in the HN origin! I remember my warden speaking to them outside in a group with Teyrna Cousland being pleasant but I cannot recall seeing them anywhere else though. Must have passed me by.

I've started out so many female Warden games from different origins, with the intention of being a shameless flirt and ultimate heartbreaker ... and then Alistair happens, and I find myself going all gooey eyed for him and my Warden ALWAYS ends up completely smitten with him... and then I can't bring myself to continue the harpy route, because Alistair is irresistible LOL! 

So I roll a male Warden instead and shag ALL the things!

Regarding my above post, that's something I'm really hoping will happen in DA3 if Cullen is a companion. I've been waiting for him so long that if a romance arc is available with him then I'd like my reaction to him to be the same as it was with Alistair, in terms of the flirty/romantic dialogue gradually starting to open up and as he starts to warm up to the protagonist he'll say or do something that'll make me think: "Yes! You absolutely 100% belong to my protagonist and I am unable to bring myself to attempt to romance anyone else" and from then on look forward to any/all interaction we have with him.

During my first ever playthrough I was a city Elf and flirted with literally everyone, including Alistair. I didn't realise it would actually lead to any romance arcs opening up since I'd never heard of Dragon Age prior to playing the game and (stupidly) I hadn't realised it was a BioWare game (despite thinking to myself that it reminded me of Jade Empire). So when suddenly Alistair gave her the rose and made his cute little speech, I was like "omg! He actually has a crush on my character! I LOVE HIM!" <3

Prior to that I had already decided that I personally had a crush on him, but I didn't realise until the rose scene that any of the companions could be romanced, let alone him LOL!

I know already that I'm gonna go all swoony the minute Cullen comes onto our screens anyway, even if it is just as a cameo or minor role, simply because it's Cullen and I'm obsessed LOL!

If he's a companion/LI then I know I'm gonna be pestering the crap out of him constantly to see if he's got anything new to say.
