vieralynn, thanks so much for sharing that... saving to reference folder... I also hadn't figured on the sunbursty part being a tabard. The culet/faulds belt part always baffles me when I stare at the armor. It always seems a little gravity defying to me on the recruit versions, like any one of them is headed for a wardrobe malfunction. LOL

Seriously, the guards in MotA also had naked Andrastes on their shoulderplates.

R2: Do you recall one of the devs saying that DA3 will be keeping DA2's art style? Can you remember where that was posted in the forum, cos they're looking for it in the Twitter thread.

I've assumed there were extra straps and buckles keeping the culet & faulds in place. More than just a belt. I can see the belt as enough for some women but I picture more than a few wardrobe malfunctions for men, especially given how heavy that piece of armor must be.

Late last year I started making notes for a full color "dress me Cullen" that provided a little more detail than Hawkward's sketches but I never got around to finishing them. Something for my to do list, or something as a very silly little full page comic.

Wasn't there a nude Andraste statue made that got turned invisible by the Chantry? I vaguely remember reading about it in the Black Emporium. Maybe the mages turned it back visible again in an act of defiance LOL!

I can easily see Cullen leaving the templars when DA3 starts, or leaving the templars during DA3. So, I can picture him wearing something unique. He's a religious boy who spent his life as a templar so I can see him keeping the sword of mercy on his armor. Perhaps he decides to create a new kind of Templar Order? Or maybe he's on a personal vision quest to determine what templars should become?

Although, as for that fur thing around his neck, if Cullen picked that out as something he wants to wear, I need to question his tastes.

I swear I am one of the only people who liked DA2's art style. 

Love the animations for the load screens and for when Varric tells his story. But I also like how Kirkwall's streets and architecture look, both in the concept art and in the final 3D render.  

But I just might be the odd one out on this.

Oh, gosh, no. Honestly, I think I first heard it from you, Lola, so I think it was really early on. Like, that first DA3 thread where they answered some questions. The other place I was thinking we heard it later on was perhaps a, erm, private communication to you...?

He's probably not had to think about his choice of attire since before he joined the Templars! Someone needs to write a fanfic about his questionable clothing choices LOL!

Eh, I'll just post it as I complete each page. I'll aim at getting the cover or first page done quickly. Still haven't sketched out the script for it but I have a general idea in my head. Takes place in Kirkwall (on a dark and stormy night, of course!) with my canonical Hawke. It's a bit of a sad (or serious) story, but it has a happy(ish) ending. 

The theme "Dark and Stormy Night" immediately made me think about Cullen's problems with nightmares since the attack on Ferelden's Circle so it's a story about the dark and stormy nature of Cullen's relationship with sleep.

Y'know, that concept art of Orlais is pretty much how it looked in the DA3 dream I had, except instead of the naked Andraste in the middle it was a really fancy fountain and there were a few market stalls scattered around lol.

Over on tumblr, I've threatened to post screenshots from DA2 of silly things I've dressed Cullen in. I might need to find the ugliest armor possible and write some illustrated fanfic about Cullen's day off.

Lol I would say that the furry collar is more evidence that he would be an LI companion
