One of the users in the Twitter thread found this on one of The World of Thedas lyrium pages. (R2 this will particularly interest you if you haven't already seen it):

"A prison cell, a scrap of paper for my confession, scarce enough bread and water. All I get for skimming one lousy bottle from the lyrium stores(?) Knight-Lieutenant  Theyan(?) cut my normal ration for "insubordination." Insubordination, my arse. It's because I saw him desert the guard tower to meet his girl. Theyan thought he'd teach me a lesson.

I'm thirsty but the water doesn't work. It should be more ...blue. You take the medicine at first, the lyrium. Your whole body sings with like the Maker's own fire. Your not scared of anything, not even abominations. After, it even takes away the nightmares. But the ration's too small. If they don't give you enough, your hand gets cold. The sky starts to press down on you. Little things slip away. So you have to stay.  The senior(?) templars all have that look, that cloudy look in their eyes.  'Sign your confessions' they said. I'm trying. I can't think what name to sign."

-Confessions of an unknown templar found among Most???? Chantry records in 8:72 Blessed"

So that's what Cullen is putting into his system. Poor bubby. Kinda makes the thought of romancing him even more appealing with that thrown into the mix of extreme angst!

Oh! That's a timely piece of lore for a few things I'm working on.

And poor bubby, indeed.

That's handy! I'm really interested in learning more about lyrium and the side effects in causes to Templars.

Awesome. Yeah, I got that  page before. Of course, that was before I realized I would never be able to see the page again, so I didn't save that part  of it! LOL Cool.

FYI, that last word in the attribution is Montsimmard.

You know... I'm so annoyed that I can only see the first pages that are always visible now in the preview at amazon. I didn't realize that it worked that way. I thought that once you got to you max number of pages, that was it... not that once you saw them then the extra pages would all suddenly disappear. That's so weird.

Yeah, I figured! :)

It's funny that I was so worried about the even sharing any of those pics, and now folks are not only sharing them but putting their own names on them.

Yeah, I'm not so sure people should keep doing this. I've seen some folks with like 20 or so pages....that's excessive and since it's copyrighted I'm not so sure they won't get sued since it's yet to be released.

Re the pages displayed above, am I thinking that the fourth page relating to the Circle of Magi is showing the White Spire? It kind of fits the description in Asunder and it is very imposing. If one of the companions is a templar (ideally Cullen) I hope that lyrium withdrawal is part of the story.

I was playing ME2 last night (gradually getting through the Trilogy) and Mordin burst into a Gilbert and Sullivan song which made me laugh (I love that Salarian). I would love it if a DA companion did that.

I was wondering the same thing... although I don't see stained glass.

edit: UNLESS that's what we're seeing with that left-hand wing at the base level of the tower. The great hall is supposed to be massive and long, and situated at the entry level of the tower.

hmm... OK, I may actually be convinced now!

Someone posted this on the forums

"If the castle becomes the home hub it will a natural evolution from the camp. It would also be good if it happens for the companions to move about, interact with each other and general have a life of their own, instead being confined to a single area waiting on the off chance for you to come and speak to them."

It made me giggle because I can imagine Cullen doing something like this...

Cullen: I hope she comes to see me....

*three minutes later*

Cullen: She'll be here soon....

*one hour later*

Cullen: Gawd where is she?
Sera: I don't think she's coming.
Cullen: Sure she is. She's just...um busy...with...Inquisitory things...
Sera: Sure sure *pats hand*
Cullen: Silence!

*five hours later*

Inquisitor: So this Sten fellow....sounds like a real stick in the mud...
Iron Bull: You have NO idea....

*door swings open* *the two look at the door as Cullen walks in*

Inquisitor: Uh...hey Cullen.
Cullen: I waited for you....

*closes door*

Kinda like they did in ME3 on the Normandy. I'm also hoping we can find them hanging out in towns and stuff when we aren't using them.

So, FWIW, there are no references whatsoever to templar skirts in Asunder. The only descriptions I can find of Evangeline's armor is that it's "templar plate" and sometimes includes a cloak. When Cole watches her undress, the book only mentions: breastplate, shoulder guards, forearm braces, then "As soon as she kicked off her metals boots she was down to her sweat-stained tunic."

It also mentions that the Seeker armor is basically the same as the templar armor, except for being dark and having the Seeker symbol. So, ostensibly the Orlesian templar armor could be skirtless like Cassandra's seeker armor, or Lambert's seeker armor could be skirted like the marcher/fereldan templar armor.

Oh also, no mention of a 'sash' anywhere in the book, plus Evangeline very clearly undresses herself. Hers must be the quick-release version of templar armor. ;)

Looking at the concept art posted a little while back of Orlais, the templars did have the skirt.

However, you are right that no mention of the skirt is made in Asunder (is it called a skirt?). Re Evangeline, only the tunic is mentioned (which is mentioned a couple of times, her bright red one at the masked ball and when she pulled out her note about Cole). Looking at the survey picture of Cullen, he doesn't wear a skirt, but it still looks like he wears a tunic with the Templar insignia on it.

Right. This is why the question came up. Because concept art has skirts, but survey!Cullen doesn't, nor do DotS templars.

No idea!

Who decides about stuff like clothes? Artists, writers, both? Is the world building that detailed? Could someone like David Gaider decide stuff like this with a snap of his fingers? (Like he would happen to read your discussion and then just pop in and say 'you know what, the Templars vary their clothing by rank, assignment, region, season and holidays.' Then that's what would be fact.)

Also, I was wondering about the art in the World of Thedas. Is it ONLY the video games? Because i know they said concept art from ALL games will be in the book. Something old they just haven't shown before might show up? Can they add other stuff? There has been a lot of nice concept art created for the tabletop RPG, Like:

And

Also some of the extras is awesome like the PDF about Varric (awww wook at him surrounded by the girls <3) http://www.greenroni...t/grr9402e.html
