On World of Thedas, my impression has been that it is an encyclopedia of the world, not the games. So presumably any illustration can be used. Old, new, games, comics, RPG. But I haven't heard any general rule on that.
I hadn't seen that one of Varric, which is awesome. Indeed I imagine all the girls having a crush on him.
On the clothes, I imagine it's a combination of decision makers. If there's a good character reason for certain types of clothing (e.g. uniform by rank or lore behind a certain item) it might involve the writers, but I also imagine that the concept artists and other designers also play a role, perhaps an even larger one. On Cullen's outfit, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just an initial artist's concept that might mean nothing at this point.

Starkhaven from World of Thedas:

Hmm, that is not at all what I pictured Starkhaven to look like. That looks like something out of ancient Egypt. LOL

Too bad I couldn't Murder Knife Sebastian in DA2. I got tired of hearing his morals being pushed on me. Then he threatened to bring armies against me. Wish I could've resolved that conflict in DLC or something and put him down with cold steel...
I didn't like Sebastian.

I guess Seb does have a slight Egyptian look about him... slightly. :-S

Eh, I never got that from him. He looked and sounded Scottish to me. Then again, I don't know accents over there so I could be wrong.

Lol, I meant physically. But yeah, his accent is Scottish.

And... what is that mess on the floor? Blood? Dropped breakfast tray? Hmm...

Oh. Ok, Chinese worms.

LMAO! I'd totally have those fluffy worms on my family coat of arms!

Oh I have a ton of those things! I normally throw them to my cats though, nothing like small fluffy worms flying through the air while a cat paw bats at them to make you chuckle once or twice.
It looks like its a dropped tray on the ground, with red wine spilling on the floor or something? Or it could be blood. A grand murder while a servant was bringing food to their master. I think the art is cool, though I am not much of a fan of that statue.

Maybe it's Seb's family home after they were all killed?

You ever wonder if people who are rude on the BSN are rude in real life? Like in real life, do they also purposefully antagonize people and make fun of them, or is that just some sort of rush or release they get online lol
I can't imagine how a person could function in society if they were so consistently awful in real life. But thing is, with the BSN, a lot of it does not feel purposeful. A lot of it feels like these people have no idea how incredibly rude and anti-social they're being. They're just naturally awful. So that means they must be that way in real life.
I satisfy myself with the belief that they are also super fugly and have fungus growing on them lol

They're only brave because they're hiding behind a computer screen. Most of them wouldn't dare be so rude in real life in case they got the sh!t kicked out of them lol. Chances are a lot of them have nothing better to do than insult others. It's pathetic really.

Yeah, I'm betting they probably don't even feel that they're being rude. They probably instead feel clever and powerful. Anonymity is a powerful thing!
Ah, sorry, MMG, hope you're not letting the turkeys get you down.

Those people probably do have fungus somewhere!
I am not sure about the concept art for Starkhaven. I kind of thought it would be more of a Celtic style. That cat statue looks like Simba from the Lion King.
