(Love the idea of a masked man revealing himself as Cullen. Would be amusing, but if he has any speaking lines while masked, Greg Ellis' voice will be a dead giveaway.)

@Vieralynn: I really love the idea of masks in the game. Mind you it's probably unlikely that we'll be seeing our character in nothing but masks, but the concept art from WoT depicting two Orlesian masks looked amazing. I just think, despite the descriptions given by Fereldens that Orlesian armor is going to look AWESOME.

Most of these games release on both generations don't they? I mean I love BioWare but if they release exclusively on nextgen (I doubt it but who knows) then they're going to have to justify my buying the system day 1. It'll no longer be whether the game is worth a 60 dollar buy (plus DLC) but a 60 + Cost of Console. I better get Morrigan sitting on my couch if it's gonna cost that much lol. I mean the game could be AMAZING, but sometimes the quality just doesn't match the cost.

Late to the party again but for what it's worth, I can't load a new character either and I've tried at least a dozen times. (PC) I wonder if they've just shut that option off or something.R2s Muse wrote...
Hmm, I dunno. On both games on PC, there was a special button/place where I had manually log in to my BW account, enter my username and password. But... maybe on console you're always logged in somehow...? Anyway, I found that it was too annoying to be logged in all the time, so I only did so when I wanted something specifically to upload. Otherwise... could this be a known bug right now...? Have you looked around the DA:O forums?motomotogirl wrote...

Here's a dumb question, but are you sure you were logged in when saving...? Or, is that not the same with console? I've also read that it's a function of how often your profile is accessed... altho you're on here all the time, so that shouldn't be a problem.
That's not a dumb question because I have no idea what you're talking about!! Next time I play, I'll see if there's some place to "log in" ... though it's always loaded up all my other characters, DA2 and DA:O alike.
edit: Never mind.... looks like you got yours to work.

Definitely took a while to get used to Adam Howden Anders at first, since he sounded just like any other English bloke to me. I'd hear random guys talking while running around Kirkwall and I'd have to stop and think "Did Anders just say that or?..."

LOL I know! Replaying DA:O was like that for me, since I wasn't a Cullen fan my first PTs. I listened to every word that Ash Warrior leader had to say at Ostagar this time. LOLBatteries wrote...

LOL meanie. Still dunno why yours didn't work. Have you tried creating a whole new character, without modifying it, and see if that uploads?meanieweenie wrote...

On the voice, agree, once you recognize the VO, sometimes that's all you can see. Flemeth was totally Janeway to me at first. You know this made me think. Cullen has a very...noticeable (dunno if that's the right word) voice. Could they even pull that off? I mean even in full mask I think we, his most rabid of fans

I actually think that would the perfect reason to do it. Imagine us sitting there, that thrill goes through you as your brain says, "Could it be...? No...? Yes...? **ssqueeeeeee**!!!" Then, after the reveal, the non-Cullen fan can go, "You're Cullen? Huh. Waddya know." The cullen fans, meanwhile, will have dissolved into a gelatinous puddle of goo. LOLDanny Boy 7 wrote...

Haha! I know what you mean, I've been watching Star Trek my whole life, especially Voyager (my fav) and when I first heard her voice...I believe my jaw dropped, and then I squealed for about half an hour...and then continued on with the game, 'twas awesome!

Edit: Again I'm not trying to say poo poo to races, nor am I asking someone to defend why they like the feature, I'm just wondering if people simply wanted that prologue? In Origins and imo the choice of race had very little actual influence on the plot. There was varying dialogue with companions and certain outcomes were different, but largely it was the same.
Edit#2: Not that I think they shouldn't have been implemented, nor should ever again. I'm just curious whether it's for the customization + 30min semi-exclusive gameplay people want.

For me personally, it would add to the replayability, especially if origin prologues are included and your race plays a part in the way people react to your protagonist.

I think a lot of it is down to personal choice, role playing and customisation reasons.

Could that be done with a strictly human origin?

Ah okay. I was just curious to see how much is wanting more depth/variation between characters and an actual wish for races. Because I think the two are different things entirely.

, it's so awesome that many people who are on Star Trek are in Bioware games, for exampled Dwight Schultz (Barclay in Star Trek TNG and Voyager) is Pressly in ME and Bodhan in DA...awesome
Anyway, back onto Cullen...uh, pun not intended. I concurr, meeting him masked and then the great reveal, would be most swoon worthy indeed....
