Lol, I think you've got at least a week left to do it, we're plodding along currently.

I've been thinking about this a little recently too, wondering for example how many resources it would take to have multiple races. Besides the chargen, writing multiple backgrounds, and cut scene adjustments, how much else? In DAO there didn't seem to be too much customization of the world to your race, like there was little world reaction to you being a blood mage in DA2. How much of that reactivity would be needed in DA3 if they had multiple races? How much would you want?Danny Boy 7 wrote...
Not to upset anybody, because this isn't my intent. Nor to put down the feature or the fans who like said feature, but I've been wondering would the inclusion of races added anything to the plot of DA2? Now let me explain. If the races were there, but the origin was the same (albeit with some differences as to who your family is), i.e. your fleeing the Blight and trying to raise your standing?
Edit: Again I'm not trying to say poo poo to races, nor am I asking someone to defend why they like the feature, I'm just wondering if people simply wanted that prologue? In Origins and imo the choice of race had very little actual influence on the plot. There was varying dialogue with companions and certain outcomes were different, but largely it was the same.
Edit#2: Not that I think they shouldn't have been implemented, nor should ever again. I'm just curious whether it's for the customization + 30min semi-exclusive gameplay people want.

I do like having butter on my corn, but I can live without it.
I'm pretty lax with what the games have each offered, and I understood why making Hawke not human could of made the story that was being told be a little harder to tell.
Our DA3 protag is supposedly going to have unplayable but selectable origins this time around though, no?
I'd mostly just like to use the character creator to make a dwarf or an elf since they don't just look like short humans anymore. See what I could do.
Always hated how since I play on the xbox, if you choose to be an elf, your ears look like they are plastered to the side of your head. Especially if you use longer hair, you just don't see them at all.

Greg Ellis certainly has a set of pipes on him! Amazing!

I wonder if classes can dictate who could be in our merry band this go.

Maybe Disney will buy Bioware/EA.

That symbol on the sign. The closest thing I could think of would be a simplified slavers crest. But it doesn't fit. Must be a new group. The people under it also have another symbol on their cloaks. They do indeed look like Monty Python knights with those helmets. Their symbol is more Templar or Inquisition than Seeker. http://scroii.tumblr...-that-sebastian
I am a bit sad about the reveal not happening during PAX East. But once the lore book comes in April they MUST have something for us? Or?
Truthfully I am starting to hope they wait until after E3 because I am not looking forward to all the whining of gamers who hate that they won't get exactly everything they want. OMG, no silent protagonist = this game will suck even if everything else looks awesome. That's why I lurk here. You guys are the sweetest.
If Cullen isn't a companion but back as a bye stander. Will you be sad? I know I will. Really want to get to know that character more.(know more as in snog and have some nookie... Please xD)

I hope it won't be like when DAII had it's reveal trailer and then we heard nothing for a reeeeeallly long time after.
Maybe they want to make sure they'll have some steady goodies to put out while keeping it feeling fresh over time?

Yeah, I don't think the symbols are the same either. The one on the flag easily could just be a shop sign, using a symbol again so they don't have to show us the Thedosian alphabet. I think I'm most interested in the Bucketheads. Squinting, and taking a very broadly astronomical view, it's a star, which is of course sorta related to a sun, which is the Chantry symbol. So they could be priests. I'm thinking instead, tho, that they could be knights or something. I don't recall seeing anything about Celene, but could it be the empress's symbol? Often their symbolism is totally different from the heraldry images (like the original templar heraldry, including below, which is also rather starlike on the inside edge...).Danny Boy 7 wrote...

Personally I dunno if the guys under the sign have the same symbol on their backs. At least, it doesn't look like it to me. The one on the cloak seems to have a lot more open area in the center whereas the sign is just a connection of lines.

That makes sense. He'll be on the other coast at that GDC (or whatever it's called) right before PAX.Danny Boy 7 wrote...

I imagine so, but this time they won't have the better part of a year to have to spread out information so maybe we'll get lucky. They might also supplement those inbetween times with stuff like short stories ala DA2.
