Someone just make a bullet point of the major events in Asunder and I will write a drabble wahahah xD
I remember seeing a pretty good run down on the Dragon Age wiki a while back, but I've never been able to find it again.

If you don't want to wade through the whole thing, we could probably summarize the most important points.
Yesyes yes, write something!!
Seriously, how do you manage to track that stuff down? I'll stumble across something but then never find the bloody thing again when running a later search lol.

Apparently in the Baldur's Gate games you can romance some chick called Aerie (I've never played the games so I have no idea who she is) and if you some how manage to navigate through her really difficult romance arc she actually gets pregnant. But, get this, if she gets injured too often in battle then she'll have a miscarriage! But if she doesn't get hit then she'll go full term with the pregnancy and you end up with a tiny baby that she keeps in a backpack.

... How crazy is that! The protagonist actually ends up with a sprog!

"EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen, speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference as reported by Polygon.
“I’d say between now and E3 you’re going to see a lot of stuff from us,” he said.
But also:
CFO Blake Jorgensen says microtransactions will be built into more and more of publisher's games moving forward."
Unfortunately the guy who posted it didn't list a source, but I'll see if I can get a link from him, I dunno if that would include DA3 or just other EA titles, but it could be promising (except for the microtransactions part). When is E3 anyway?
*Edit* Here's the source, it's actually rather obscure lol:

Wow thanks
Okay I read the Asunder summary, and now I'm in LOOOOOVE with Cole
Ahem, okay, I will think of how Cullen will fit into all of this and perhaps get a drabble ready for 1500

And I really don't understand why some people are expecting DA3 to be either exactly like DA2 or Origins when its not going to be.
Sure they're going to take what worked from each games but its still going to be a completely different game from the other two.
I see posts on the DA3 board where people are assuming its going to be like DA2 or go back to Origins when it won't.
The new game engine means different game play, as well as the characters looking a bit different than what we are accustomed to.
I think ALOT of People are going to be in shock when they see the first screenshots.

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to it 8D I know it's gonna be awesome... only thing I worry about is that they're going to make it harder lol But hopefully there will be a story mode.

Even on the bsn, I cannot escape the onslaught of "skinny women aren't REAL women." tirade.
Maybe I should go get checked out by a doctor.
and I would say right now that what the game looks like with the new engine is number 1 on my list at the moment.

Don't fret. We are all real women and we shouldn't let idiots try to make us feel bad for being above or beyond the normal weight. As long as we are healthy, who are we disturbing ? Tell the next nay sayer to F**k off!

And growing up while being on the other side of the spectrum was always interesting. I can't even count the many times I've been asked/told "Wow, don't you eat?/You should eat more/You're a stick/How do you walk?/You're anorexic, you should get help/I'm afraid I'll break you!/How many times do you puke a day?/You're going to be just like us one day/You're really a boy aren't you?" ect
Not to mention the people who believe I don't have person space so literally except me to move out of their way (even if I have no space to step aside anyway) or else they'll just run into me.
Let's not even talk about sitting in public places when I've had people just about sit on top of me ARHJVZBSLKD x.x
Anymore I just say "Maybe you should eat less" and the hypocritical, condencending glares I get are priceless

I know what thread you're talking about...
I currently like that "preggo" thread on the DA3 forums. But really, I'd like to see Bioware take a bold move on something like that. I'm in firm belief video game writing will never get better until gamers can handle mature/dark themes. When you compare video games to writing in books or movies, it's not respected for a reason. That's something I really enjoy about Bioware, they're one of the few devs who are trying to push writing to new horizons for gaming itself.

I myself am not much for the babies ever after type pregnancy though, but eh, each their own.
Thedas version of Maury is now on my mind's horizon.

I wouldn't mind if it was in the game some how. I thought the Dark Ritual/Morrigan was pregnant even if you didn't do the ritual was fine. I still feel so bad for Alistair though haha. I just know it has to bite him in the butt someday.

Well, I feel that Bioware steers away from controversial subjects because they have higher appeal in their games now. I mean, the media chastised them for a blue alien back with no nudity. Yet, Witcher 2 has Rated-R sex scenes in the game and the media says nothing? Witcher also explores darker themes. The reason is because they started out on PC where it doesn't have mainstream appeal.
I feel Bioware are almost stunted because they want to avoid controversy. I mean, look at the reaction of the ME3 ending. i could go on a long rant at why it was a very intelligent ending and why I originally enjoyed it, but that's beside the point. Even Bioware hints that DA3 will probably go back to the cliche 'greater evil' story that DAO had due to reactions from DA2. They tried something a little different in DA2 and it got a bad reaction.
I think the real problem is gamers just aren't mature enough for storytelling in video games. I don't mean all gamers, but when you have high mainstream appeal, this happens. That's why I'm glad I can play PC games that actually attempt those darker/mature themes. It's something I probably won't see much in console gaming anytime soon on my PS3.
I'll bet any amount of money when Gaider(or any Bioware writer) go in the writer's pit, this plays a big part into how they write their characters/stories. They're very good at what they do, I just wonder how much they're holding back just to avoid issues like DA2/ME3. I mean, I've even read comments by Gaider that basically say just that.
"I don't think writing that in will have much appeal at all"

Personally, aside from mechanical issues, I really liked how DA2 was well... Different. It told a story differently than other stories and I do think it worked out well. One thing I feel like that could of been better was a smoother transition between each act.I liked how Hawke wasn't a grand hero saving the world... S/he was just a refugee who made their way to the top. I like that simplicity. If anything, it prompted me to name my one-eyed american eskimo Anders. It creepishly suits him. He's totally a rebel.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind more mature themes in DA3. Especially since I know the writers can keep it mature and not just make it explicit, iykwim.
but, uh, Cullen thread. yes!I wonder if the writers will shatter hearts everywhere by making Cullen have a bastard child.
or something horrible. like an extreme case of foot fungus.
personally i think he may be ocd. with a list planning out his day and everything!

LOL. I wish I had the balls to say that to people's faces when I get the "You're so tiny!" comments. I'm ASIAN. Genetics are not on my side here. And if obesity causes so many health problems, should we be trying to live healthier lifestyles rather than deciding that skinny people don't exist?

I think the pregnancy+crazy fantasy setting could yield some interesting storytelling. I love that women in Thedas are just as likely to be warriors as men... so how do you deal with that at seven months pregnant? I think it could be interesting if it was done well.

Oh gosh, I wish folks would just stop judging women's body type, period. Large, small, short, tall, there are all types. You'd hope that a fantasy RPG setting would liberate some of that thinking.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

I've recently been exposed to that on tumblr, where I am astounded that folks feel like they can even tell artists what type of female bodies to draw. Say what???
Cullen disapproves.

Yeah, I think it would be too resource intensive to have a whole separate body model for it. Problematic in many ways.Danny Boy 7 wrote...
What would a pregnant woman and better yet a baby look like in Dragon Age? I don't think we've had those kind of....models/skeletons, in the game yet.
