DAO Deep Roads was creepy all around.
DA2 was a little bit creepy once you hit that thaig, but not nearly as much as DAO. May have to do with lack of Darkspawn fleshpods and broodmmothers.
Deep Roads in DAO had pacing problems and was very tedious. I did like the atmosphere though. I liked the Legacy DLC atmosphere too. It's nice going down there and mixing DA up. Gives a little horror vibe off. That's one thing I like about DAO, the atmosphere changes so much in the world. I always wanted Bioware to sink a lot of resources into their world design and it sounds like they are. Part of the experience is exploring a new ruin and having that sense of mystery or discovery. Or just feeling like you're about to pee your pants in the Deep Roads.
Could you imagine us visiting Kal-Sharok in DA3 and all of sudden, they're a bunch of cannibal monsters? That would be creepy. Sure does sound like they're cannibals down there...
