I've already got an actual dog named Anders.

I promised myself the next animal I get is going to be a toss up between Alistair, Garrus and Cullen.

All my animals seem to turn out to be male anyway

I haven't named any of my pets after Bioware characters yet. I've thought about it though.

In fact, I thought about naming my next dog just "Dog" because that's how I always leave it in the game lol.

I've also got a cat named... Cat.

It works rather well. Better than you would think!

And naming him Anders wasn't really all that terribly intentional either, he just... Looked like an Anders. The one eye part helped.

EDIT

Anyway,  I wonder if DA3 will get a reveal at PAX East after all? Or maybe it'll be like it was last time and not get an actual reveal, but just tidbits of info here and there with a Q&A.
The tweets are a little confusing.

Since they are still pitching stories, I doubt we will see anything substantial within the next 2-3 months.

Oh R2, you are too sweet! So sorry I missed 1500 with you guys :( but I'll post what I threw together on here and have you add it whenever you get the chance. My boyfriend has been home on leave for the past week, so I've been busy hanging around with him before he has to go back to Cali for a few months.

Anyway, hope you guys like what I made for the Dark and Stormy theme, it was a fun one!

I actually have a cat named Cat too haha. That's all she would come to me by.

Also, read this tumblr post guys. It's really good. I'll post it in here if you don't want to click the link:

I just think it's great games can do this for people.

ME3 spoilers

You know what makes me uncomfortable, fandom? The fact that we can’t stop complaining about Thane dying.Do you know what that makes me uncomfortable, fandom? Because I will
probably die of a disease that will never be cured. I relate to Thane on
a profound level. He was my Shepard’s love interest, but he was not
mine. To me, he was representative of me, of people like me. He died. I will die. He was at peace with his life. I hope I’ll have that peace, too.
And every time the fandom says Bioware **** on them, it’s like a slap
in the face. Perhaps this is unreasonable of me to say. Perhaps this is
unfair. But it grieves me – it hurts my heart, to be quite honest – to
see people say “**** you, Bioware, for doing exactly what you told us
you would do.” Because it feels like someone is trying to take something
deeply personal from me: an honest representation of what it’s like to
live with an immune system that is a ticking bomb.
My body is destroying itself. Every continued day of my
existence is a day where my own immune system, meant to protect me, is
attacking and killing me. Every day, I wake up and I wonder if today
won’t be the day where I can’t keep going, the day where I will give up
and give in. And then I remember that Thane, in a situation considerably
worse than mine, got up, left the hospital, and defended the people he loved.
He isn’t real. He’s a fictional character. But that action actually
gives me strength. Maybe it’s a foolish thing to derive strength from,
but when you’ve lived with a disease as debilitating as MS you take what
you can get.
Watching Thane die, remarkably enough, gave me hope. He succeeded at
so many things, had such a full life, and it continues to give me hope.
Thane doesn’t have to be in the DLC. Honestly, no one even has to
mention him. I’d like that, but it wouldn’t ruin the content for me.
Because Thane died. And Thane died in the most honorable way a person can die, in the way I want to die.
He died living.

That looks great Nikki!

Is your BF in the military? Tell him I said I appreciate what he does for us and I hope all is well for him in his future endeavors!

Nikki, what happened to his shirt in the second panel?? xDDD Love it!!

Deuce, that brought tears to my eyes. I don't know what else to say. My initial reaction is, "Oh I feel sorry for this person," but they don't deserve my sorrow because god they are a thousand times tougher and braver than I am.

And god bless the power of story and character!

EDIT: I don't mean they don't deserve it lol I'm not sure how to put it. They don't need my pity, basically. You know? I feel unworthy.

I wrote a silly dark & stormy night rhyme last night. Reading it now makes me happy I didn't post it. Haha! I might have been tipsy.

Congratulations to 1500! <3

Sorry, I couldn't last past page 1500, as it was 1.30 am and I needed sleep!
Lola - great images of wet and moody Cullen, good images before bedtime :)!
Moto - love your story about Alain.  He is so sweet and hope he makes an appearance in DA3
R2 - love the purple prose!  As Meanie said, how do you do it?
Shades - I think your sketch is amazing.  You should post them more!

PS - thanks for the comments re my picture.  Very kind.  I haven't drawn/painted anything for 15+ years, but found it very relaxing and quite enjoyable.  So thinking about an evening class so I can learn a bit more.

Deuce - thanks for posting that.  Wow, I feel a bit sad, but positive for her.  She comes across as a strong and brave lady and I like how she writes.  Will follow her on Tumblr.

I haven't finished ME3 so not sure why everyone is upset about Thane dying, because he admitted he didn't have long to live in ME2.  I haven't ventured into the ME forums yet.  Did people think they could save him or something?  I love Thane, think he's a great character.

Ah, nikki, these are awesome!!  Posted them on 1500!! And, glad you've been spending time with the beau. Don't worry, we didn't forget you!

(edit: also let me know if you want me to keep or remove the initial pic you did. I personally think it looks awesome, but let me know!)

It's sad that he died, but we knew from the get go that he was going to. It was pretty obvious that they weren't going to handwave a cure, as much as we may have wanted one. I think people would've had a better reason to kick off about it to BioWare IF they had led us to believe that there was a cure or that he could be cured, but they didn't so it's not like people that romanced him didn't know what they were getting into.

LOL, thanks!! I've been trying not to walk under awnings or trees. I probably look like a crazy person doing it. ;)

So, speaking of other games, since I'm a pretty hardcore gamer ™ I've been playing Harvest Moon: Animal Parade and naming all my livestock after DA characters.

So far they all have to be girls because they each produce milk or eggs. I have...

A sheep named Leliana
A black sheep named Bethany
A black cow named Morrigan
A brown/red cow named Aveline
A black and white spotted cow named Isabela

... and an ostrich named Merrill. :D

Be jealous. Go on.  ;)

What systems do you own or do you just play on PC only? You should try Dragon's Dogma if you have a PS3/Xbox 360. If you're a masochist, then you should try Dark Souls... Posted Image

I named my original pawn Cullen in DD lol.

In Dark Souls, I actually made a warrior build that used heavy faith magic(sorta kinda similar to Templars).

I have a wii, an xbox, and a pc. Hooray for options!!! I LOVED Dragon's Dogma -- I started out making a big, beefy pawn with dreads and then discovered he accidentally looked like Ron Perlman.

... so I changed his skin color, changed his hair, and named him Ron Perlman. He runs around shield-bashing my little redheaded girl any time she's threatened.  Posted Image

@ MMG, I thought seriously about getting a white horse and naming him Fenris, but we're only allowed to choose three kinds of livestock and I just couldn't part with the others.  Posted Image Plus, I can ride them all --- and it's just plain funny to cruise around the island riding on a black cow named Morrigan. Posted Image

**EDIT: I haven't played Dark Souls or even heard anything about it before now! Is it scary?

Can't remember if I posted this up yesterday or not, but Mark Darrah said the following regarding DA3:

Mark Darrah: "I'll be there. #DA3? We'll see"

I think he's just teasing though, since the only one that's confirmed for a PAX panel is the ME3 team.

Thanks everyone!

@Deuce: Yea, he has about 6 months left in the Marine Corps, but he just got back from a deployment a month ago so he decided to come home for a few days. I will let him know that you're appreciative!

@MMG: Haha, I couldn't post some photo manips w/out my usual shirtless Cullen, could I? I imagined that pic as him being at camp one night, just getting back from bathing or washing his clothes when he runs into our PC and is like "What can I do for you?" while our character is just standing there, drooling like a moron.

@Shades: Thank you! I actually am partial to the first pic, since it gives me all sorts of adventure-y feels, but I can see why the second grabs your attention!

@Lola: If that were the case, I would owe that bridge beast a tremendous thank you.

Cullen: "You shall not-OH! The beast tore away my shirt!"

PC: *leans over the edge where the beast fell* Thank you!

@R2: You can keep the banner-ish sized one if you want to, not a huge deal to me either way.
