Just playing through the Legacy dlc and Hawke said something like:

"Varric, when you tell people about my escape from Lothering, why do you paint it as though I had food all over my face?"

Varric goes on to say that all good heroes have flaws, so he told people that Hawke was fat lol. I wonder if that's an in-joke about how Hawke's face almost always looks puffy when you first make him, thus the need for the mirror of transformation.

I know people complain a lot that BioWare don't listen to their fans, but I think when it comes to the DA team, they do. Already we can see that they've taken on board complaints such as "too much brown dull colours", "I want to be able to customise companion armour again", "don't reuse levels" etc and they've done something about it. We know this already without even seeing the game yet. So I'm not worried about what DA3 will be like to play at all.

The only real concern I have is that Cullen won't be a companion/LI, which isn't really so much of a concern, but a very strong desire for him to be implemented as such lol.

Honestly after checking out the DA forums lately....I get the same feeling as you. I am not extremely concerned about certain aspects of it... The only thing that concerns me is this:

-I did miss the option of being able to have in-depth convos with companions, honestly it was what I felt made DA different from all the rest. Origins is my ultimate without-a-doubt favorite game ever played....

-Cullen of course as an LI/Companion

-A good amount of differences shown with choices made in the game (throughout origins/DA2 implemented)
I am not asking for it to be revolutionary or something, just something like Origins. But then again, we are only allowed a Human again right? So that kind of narrows it down, more so than with Origins.

Isn't it weird how his DA:O is completely different to his DA2 version, yet it still looks like him lol.

Cullen stopped at the Black Emporium and made some adjustments. :wizard:

Demarco: I think your wish has been granted on the character conversation/interaction front. David Gaider and co said they'd be returning to more conversational based ways on getting to know your companions in DA3, which I'm happy about! I love questioning the arse off everyone!

So, I've started playing the Mark of the Assassin DLC again for the second time ever. I've gotta say, I love how the transition is made between leaving Kirkwall and travelling towards the Chateau. If we do travel around Thedas in DA3 then cutscenes like that with the companions/protagonist talking over the top would be pretty awesome!

I noticed that with Tallis, when you first arrive, you can talk to her and it brings us investigative options to interact with her, very reminiscent of DA:O, even if it does only happen once or twice. This time I brought Warden Carver along with me and he's being really friendly, I much prefer him like this. Even Anders is in a good mood LOL!

You can definitely see the kind of approach they're leaning towards with DA3 with all of MotA's colourful surroundings and stuff.

Oh yeah I found everyone was in a better mood in MOTA! I really disliked the intense bickering that occurred between characters in DA2.

My favorite MOTA banter:

Fenris: Manservant...
Anders: hehehe xD

So I have been contemplating the DLC's (other than Sebastian, bought that when it first came out) and since I am making a few more playthroughs on DAO, I will probably do the same in DA2 .....  are they worth it?

Carver kind of reminded me of my own brother, sort of, not as .... difficult but I love him just the same so I actually really liked his character. Although he did tend to get a high rivalry with me because I didn't exactly see eye to eye with him. But you know, hes family so you can't hate him really. After I got him into the Wardens he seemed to lighten up, I liked that.

They are great!!! Felicia Day's character is very annoying, but anything that prolongs the experience of DA2 is great in my book ... I still play them with my various playthroughs.

I've not taken those two together for MotA, what's the manservant thing about?

*Edit* Just checked on YouTube. Anders is evil LOL!

Demarco: Both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin are definitely worth it! MotA is definitely the more light hearted and fun out of the two though, especially with a sarcastic/funny male Hawke, he makes it a total blast!

It also gives you a little taster into how ridiculous and decadent the Orlesian nobles are, I'm gonna have great fun in DA3 if they're all like that! I think an Orlesian masquerade ball is an absolute must in DA3, especially if that garden party is anything to go by!

What I wonder, is how Hawke gets into the party if you do MotA early on before he's of any importance, like Act 1. Do they pretend he's a noble or something?

Legacy is great and MOTA is pretty good. Legacy is exactly how DA2 should've been built. If they do DA3 similar to that DLC, then DA3 will be a great game.

Some highlights of what that Legacy DLC did so well

-Wave combat done right

-A lot of enemy variety and each encounter seems different changing tactics/strategy up

-Environmental variety in that it transitions from one environment to an entirely new one every so often. No more generic landscapes like DA2 had

-Secrets(they even have a hidden boss encounter) and great story/lore

Those are the big things I can remember from Legacy. I honestly think if DA2 was designed like Legacy, you wouldn't see half as much complaining. MOTA is pretty good but I don't think it's as good as Legacy. It does much of the same well though.

Oh yea, that part in MOTA. I didn't like it. Felt unnecessary in DA2, IMO.

I actually liked the stealth mechanic in MotA, but I hated that the items were tailored to a rogue Hawke. After I went through it, I reloaded and hacked my way through. More XP that way.

I also think it was an interesting change up, but I also sucked at it lol And I used to play Tenchu all the time! And I'm super stealthy on Skyrim. Wonder what happened xD

I liked the puzzles in MOTA. I want more of that in DA3. Not many games do puzzles anymore where you actually have to think. Most puzzles in games now can be solved instantly by a 5-year-old. I remember sitting around for hours figuring out some puzzles in the Silent Hill games on PS2. Oh boy.
