Hmm I am wondering if I used the MEHEM mod and then went back and played Citadel if it would work on my mind. Maybe like reboot my mind into thinking its all happy and stuff. lol

Think it would work?

And honestly...... tell me this....

Can it truly be offensive if fans are outraged with your game (now hear me out)
IF your fans only have issues with the ending, believing shepard wasn't sent off in the right way. Like they had such strong feelings for this game that they made a huge fuss over it. Honestly I would be slightly flattered. Hell, they just made a game that caused players to be so emotionally invested that they begged for something better to say goodbye to Shep. I will miss him, I must say.

Agreed. However, a lot of us handle it in the wrong way, which is what put the devs backs up.

What I personally wanted to see from the ending (aside from the red/green/blue/god child thing being removed) was several different endings ranging from the worst (Reapers win) to the best (the protagonist and crew survive together). The cutscenes would've featured our war assets and crew in action and then at the very end we'd get sliders about what the crew get up to now that the Reaper threat is over and an extra slider dedicated to Shepard and his/her LI and what they're now doing together.

There's a few on there, the ME3 forum has a few. There's the Garrus/Shepard dancing one which is awesome, the entrance to the Casino with each companion variation and a bunch of others.

It's worth a try. I don't think it would work for me though, because I know that's not really how the game ends so it's never really canon. I kinda wish the ME3 team would just say "yeah, Shepard survives and reunites with his/her crew in the destroy ending", so far all they've done is implied it.

Your ideas on the ending  +1 agree! I am surprised that they didn't originally give a range of different endings, I mean it was all layed out for them as well. I don't like ending trilogies with a cliffhanger that will never be revealed. It is just stupid. There is not enough information for anyone to be satisfied.
And I agree... it probably won't work, but I will give it a try. Gonna watch the video for it just to see if it would make it replayable in the distant.. future.

I think a cliff hanger ending works fine for a game that intends to have another occur after it, like DA2 for example.

It was pretty obvious that DA2 was supposed to be a plot set up for DA3, in fact, DA3: Inquisition was originally supposed to be DA2, but for some reason they decided to make another in between which is what we know today as DA2... I think it was because it would've seemed to jaunting jumping straight from the Blight in DA:O to whatever DA3 will be about. Soooo, although people were annoyed about DA2's ending, it had to be left on a cliff hanger in order for DA3 to pick up where it left off a few years down the line when sh!t has really hit the fan.

Oh wow.... just watched the video.... quite..impressive actually. Would go well with the Citadel at the end. Even though reapers are mentioned, I can pretty much ignore that. ooooooo I might do this ;)

I don't really think my beef with DA2 was too much with the cliffhanger actually. It was more to do with it lacking the same strengths that Origins had. I was warned before ending DA2 (by my brother of all people lol) that there was a cliffhanger, so I knew that and was prepared. I did get goosebumps when they said that the warden and hawke are missing, thought that was cool.

I think the biggest thing I missed whilst playing DA2 was the companion conversations and the general ambience on the odd occasion when we were able to interact with them.

In DA:O I loved that we could have full blown conversations with the companions frequently, I also loved the campsite setting. Despite the fact that the campsite was the same unchanging environment, it  still had all our companions together in one place and it had a really nice atmosphere/ambience surrounding it, which I felt added a little something extra to the conversations and romantic interactions. Whereas DA2 had the companions in different home hubs, which was cool for the "companions have their own lives" factor, but it did kinda ruin the illusion of comradery, plus the companion's environments had zero atmosphere. It was hot watching Anders pounce on my Hawke, but the moment was ruined by the dead body under the sheet that had sat in his bloody clinic for effin' years!

Also, I can't work out why Fenris was the only companion who had his theme tune play whenever we had a conversation with him.

@Lola Exactly, being able to talk to them anytime AND they had a great amount of dialogue as well. Campsite was awesome! It just was realistic for them to have one, always on the move and such. The homes was alright, but like you said it just didn't feel like comradery. Plus having to freaking run from place to place just to talk was annoying.....especially when the only place we already run around in is Kirkwall. God I am just hoping I see

Available companions/LI:

Cullen

I will seriously jump out of my chair and start dancing around the room.

I really hope DA3 take a leaf out of ME3's book and has the companions all in one place (like this castle) and have them mingle with each other. Ideally we'd have more than one home hub. For example, if we're near the castle then we'd stay there, but if we're out in the middle of nowhere then we'd set up a campsite, if we're in a town/city we'd stay in a local tavern, if we're going to some swanky party or Orlesian ball then we'd be offer a room in the chateau and so on. I think that would make a nice change up in environments.

I also hope that the companions can also be found "out and about" in towns and cities when we're between quests, like the crew does on the Citadel.

Kaidan's is nice, he comes round and cooks Shepard a meal, then they have a little cuddle on the sofa and then they go off to have sex but only make it as far as the stairs *cue fade to black*. Kaidan is an absolute minx in this dlc, he's and Shepard are constantly making naughty comments towards each other LOL. <3

Lol, I'm full of them!

I just really wanna see something spectacular from DA3. Nothing beats your first ever playthrough of a BioWare game, especially when you haven't got any idea what's gonna happen, where anything is or who you're going to run into. I've got that with all the BioWare RPG games, although not quite so much with DA2 unfortunately.

@ Lola Absolutely nothing beats it, AGREEEEED. I love first playthroughs! and again lol I agree, I didn't get it with DA2 either, honestly there were no real catching moments that were equal to Origins or the ME series. But it was still a good story and such. I am super excited about DA3's story and new hero, sounds very very interesting.

To this day I still keep finding something new every time I play DA:O (and I've played it a lot lol).

I've worked out why I feel kinda sad after the Citadel dlc, the endings make the game feel like there's something missing and this new dlc has brought that all back to the surface. All the bonds you make throughout 3 games and that party, just brings home the fact that this is the sort of thing that should've been in the best ending, just like DA:O had its diddy celebration before the Warden went outside to see her/his adoring public.

Haha funnily enough I never played a Mage until a year ago, not a fan of spellcaster classes. So I am right there with you, keep finding new things to try. I like hover the walkthroughs like a nutbag trying to find new ways of doing things or doing thigns differently to get a different type of playthrough. Still fun to this day!

And I think you are onto something. It really does feel like a piece of the puzzle is missing. I know it was the end of Shepards story, but I would have accepted if they just said Shep went into retirement. I mean she/he has to be about what, late 30's? I think Kaidan was 32 in ME1, so they have to be around that age. I believe its mid 40's is retirment age in the Army (lol I only did 4, never planned on making it a career so I never payed attention). So honestly it was feasible to just go with that. No one would have really made a fuss over that since it is just rationalization that Shep has had his/her day and now needs to grow old on some nice farmland in Canada :) with Kaidan ;) mwahahah

Shepard was 29 in ME1, but since s/he died.. I guess it's up to you whether or not you consider her/him about 32ish by ME3 end.

Demarco: Yeah, the option to see Shep reuinte with her/his crew and love interest should've been there. It's gutting knowing that it isn't and that the devs won't give a straight answer about Sheps fate after the breathing scene at the end.

What about Ash? I know Kaidan wasn't 20'ish in ME1, I could have swore I read that somewhere in the codex. LOL if Ash is the same age as Kaidan she would be a cougar ;) BAHAHA

Ash was about 25/26 at start so nope

And Kaidan was 32 in ME1, you're right about that

This turned into a ME thread lul. But I guess since all the character threads got shut down. What was the deal with that anyway? I never went to the ME3 forums.

Meh even age doesn't really factor in, you saved the world from being harvested........ how can that not earn you retirement?
