Apparently they plan to tell us where Hawke and the Warden have disappeared to, what the Grey Warden's were being so hush-hush about and are also writing bits of the cancelled dlc into DA3, so that's something at least.

I'm curious about what my boys are doing but hope it's not something so far away from my own head canon that it kind of ruins things for me, a la Awakening! My Warden would have never agreed to that Warden-Commander nonsense. I felt so silly playing Awakening. Only played it once lol

At first DA2 felt like one big fetch quest, in which I ran around doing favours for random people. It took me a long time to appreciate its subtleties.

And DA2 is the reason I bought an xbox LOL It's amazing how opinions and feelings can differ so drastically!!

MMG: It was awful, for me anyway. All they had to do was expand on that breathing scene a little further and tell me if Shepard lives for sure.

I guess my reaction to that is similar to your reaction about not having the option to play as an Elf in DA3, it upsets you because it's something you feel strongly about.

Touche! :D It gets a bit lonely in the "Hey, I actually liked the ending..." corner though.

Deuce: LOL, you should've been there that time we all had a Skype party with Cameron Lee (he's an Aussie), all the slang and swears were coming out that evening!

Haha. That ending kinda came out of nowhere. Felt like the game was half done.

Again I buck tradition by saying I realy liked the DA2 ending lol I thought it was really cool how Cullen hesitated, then backed off, then Hawke and his LI and his two besties turned and strode off into the sunset, POW!

This is why I like vague endings. I know they're not popular but everything is left up to our imagination. In a game where I control my personality, interactions and story, I'd much rather 'leaving it to the imagination'. Not something that Bioware forces on you that has visual resolution. It might not be something I agree with. As your last sentence mentioned, that's how you saw it. So it was the perfect ending in your mind, right? Endings are probably the hardest thing for any writer to put out.

I swear to god I'll flip my sh!t if they kill my Hawke or Warden, or make me choose which one should live out of those two and the new protagonist. Seriously.

Especially for a game! At least for a novel you are straight with the reader; she knows it's your story and she is just going to have to go along with it. But for a game, you trick the player into thinking SHE'S writing the story, and that these are HER characters, but deep down, I suppose, she isn't, and they aren't.

Thats why there should've been a varied choice of endings, like in DA:O. That way everyone gets what they want.

That's why I don't think they're going to mess with it too much, IMO. It's not just a touchy subject for you but a lot of people. And after the controversy with their other games...yea.

Aghghghg I have to go to bed. Damn you, job! But not the money you pour into my bank account every two weeks. Keep doing that part. But the early morning bit. Lame.

Peace out, homies!

Only once. We spoke about a bunch of crap mostly lol. He asked us which art style we preferred DA:O or DA2, I believe we all said DA2 and he replied with "then you're gonna ****** your pants when you see DA3" lol.

oh gosh accents.

I live in good 'ol california but I grew up watching so many British movies/shows that I think I picked up some of the slang and word pronunciations. People think I'm mental and don't speak the engrish when I say "stay-tus" instead of "stah-tus".
i so wish accents were genetic i would be fabulous with a scottish accent

hahaha  I always have a hard time understanding the Newcastle accent. My husband is british and his is like a mix of northern and london, military kind of killed his northern for which I am thankful because that is quite hard to understand as well haha

Alrighty... being from the US I will admit my ignorance of the different UK regional accents. So I did what any good American would do and I googled 'UK regional accents' and stumbled onto this guy's youtube video which I found highly entertaining. Anyone else with the curiosity feel free to enjoy:

I do wonder how many different accents encompass the entire UK, its like you go to the next town down and they speak a totally different accent. Its craziness.

Edit   @ meanie    I am watching it, haha its great!

HAHAH he did the Newcastle accent, my husbands friend is from there and if he is tired omg... he mumbles and even my husband can't understand him. This happened not even two days ago and we were laughing about that last night. So funny.

I'm always a little bit amazed at how drastically speech can vary in such a small area. Mama loves me some lingustics! LOL

We have quite a few accents here in the US, too, although it makes more sense since we are so spread out!! But I will say that just in Louisiana we have quite a few different accents; some people can even tell what town you're from!! (I'm not that good lol)

At work so can't listen to the video :(

When it comes to English accents I can distinguish Liverpool the best. I don't even know what a Newcastle accent sounds like !! And from watching movies like A Secret Garden I can distinguish the York accent LOL (but they may have been exaggerating it for the movie, and since it's a period piece, it may no longer sound like that).

Lola's going to come here and laugh at us all....

LOL! We have loads of regional accents, and there are some weird ones that people like to actually make up, like "Chav speak" (look that one up). Regional Scottish, Welsh and Irish accent are fun too!

I think my favourite accent is the North country ones, they all sound like Samwise from LotR!
