Also forgot to mention this, I know it has probably been mentioned before. I am a creature of habit which means I usually stick to rogues or a warrior class, I am not much for spellcasting. But playing a mage in DA2 always seemed so overpowered as a class, BUT after thinking about it, it really fits in with the story. Mages are feared blah, blah, blah, because of their abilities. I liked it

So, it looks like no one is around anymore, but I finally finished my dark and stormy night story! If anyone's interested it's here:
The Coming Storm
In 9:40 Dragon, Knight-Commander Cullen responds to an urgent summons to Val Royeaux and faces a difficult choice that will change the face of Thedas. DA: Asunder spoilers.
Read it and loved it R2, five stars:D

I've taken to having my import protagonists all mages, in the hopes that it'll prove a point eventually that mages can accomplish great things and have saved the world/cities on numerous times.

Mages are OP in both DA games. Rightfully so, based on lore.
I always play a warrior or rogue first too. Mostly because I detest the armor designs for mages. I always play a male for warrior/rogue and then switch to a female for mage. I see mages as wearing more feminine clothing and they don't have big frames for combat like warriors, so I relate that to females. Is that sexist?

xactly.... The mage men I feel sorry for, having to wear dresses and allrobes I mean. How can you take them seriously? Since I play on PC I just mod my characters armor. I hate Anders armor, albeit its for lore I understand, but the feathers just make me facepalm.
Since I have already beaten the games a million times I just use the level up armor mod and choose my favorite armor to wear. The end game armor for the champion is my all time favorite, I even modded that in origins just because I like it so much. Pretty bad a**. I just love my rogue soooooo muchhe is just too freaking awesome.

I don't have anything to offer regarding the comparison, except that I hear the same bad things about Origin. But, in the past the DA imports were done from your save games, which are saved locally on your harddrive and don't have anything to do with the source of your game to the best of my knowledge.Batteries wrote...
So a PC question..
If I were to buy DAO for my computer, should I buy it from Origin or Steam? (I hear horrible things about Origin)
And if I bought it from Steam and later on I bought DA2 from Origin, it doesn't affect importing does it?
Sorry, I am computer gaming illiterate ;D
