 Thank you everyone! I'm about to purchase DAO from Steam since I couldn't find a physical copy in town. PC games get a small, dusty little corner in the stores

But you're all awesome. 

Make sure you input the same CDkey from Steam to Origin once you activate it. That way if anything happens to one service or the other, you have it one two.

If you bought it on Origin, then you wouldn't be able to use that same key on Steam. EA stopped selling new games on Steam. Only older games they had a contract with Steam are still on there.

what a horrible question...........   well hell if he is going to die no matter what... LI. At least he would have known some happiness. But damnit don't put ideas in the writers heads about this... this would enrage me!

Well, they did it with Thane, so it wouldn't be the first time they kill off a popular character for the sake of drama. David Gaider also likes tragic romance as well. It is a hard question to answer, but that's the fun of it.

I'm so addicted to this picture editing site you showed me Lola! Been playing around w/ some screenshots R2 took, can safely say I totally overuse the Focal overlay. Anyone have any theme they'd like me to mess around with for a picture edit?

It would suck massively, but I'd let him be an npc if it means saving him from death and letting him find a little happiness. But I wouldn't be happy about it and I'd swear at my tv.

Wait... you said he would die no matter what?  So if he lives, he will be married to another. Then I would go with NPC. Sorry but I don't think having him as an LI trumps life.   If he is allowed to live, then I would rather that then die because im a selfish woman

Should have make him single then since it does seem to be selfish if you choose the later. I guess I'm going off on the assumption that people find it harder to see their LI die than alive (in video games, of course) based on the comments I see regarding Jacob. I was pretty annoyed when Tali hooking up with Garrus in my Kaidan's file as well since I romanced her in my other file. Ok, if he's an NPC, he lives but single, and if you romance him, he dies.

I see. It's just a fun question regarding fictional characters. In real life, I would choose for that person to live any time. In video games, the stack is less heavy, I suppose. I honestly can't decide. I'm leaning more toward allowing him to be a LI since I'm sort of like tragic romance.

Agreed. I feel bad being rude to a companion in games, let alone letting one die. Which is probably why I handled the ME3 ending so badly LOL!

LOL Now I feel better that I was considering that path, as well.  In real life, of course, alive and living happily ever after without me. In a video game... where I'd probably get to interact with him a lot more if he were a companion, let alone LI, only to have a super angsty, painful death at my hand. Hmm... OK, I'll quote a classic: "better to  have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
