Not really a specifically Cullen question, but for those of you who would play a mage in DA:I... and I imagine most everyone will have a mage playthrough eventually? What are your thoughts on there actually being a moment where you can turn to blood magic and your coompanions react to it? 

I imagine the other classes could have moments like this too, but blood magic is definitely the big one... though the Reaver would probably be a close second? If I remember rightly, that's a form of blood magic that the normal gals and guys can get into... 

..I... have no idea about the Rogues... they obviously need a taboo talent too!

I guess I've just seen all these moments from other blood mages (Jowan when he's protecting Lily, and Merrill when she gets rid of the barrier) that I want a moment like that too if I make a blood mage! I'm jealous. I want a moment where the companions get to be all "WTFBBQ?!" over by character...

...I've never had a blood mage before. My Amell was primal and creation (I wanted a pet wisp, damn it), and my Hawke was specced out in Spirit Healer, some Force, and Arcane (you can guess what the Arishok fight was like with that boy. ), but if there was some fun extra story business involved, I might actually consider going blood mage.

So apparently 3 new games are to be announced by EA at E3 in June. I bet one of them is DA3.

Reaction to PC blood magic would be nice; it was in DAO but got the cutting block. I'm also going to miss choosing character specs. My Templar/Reaver Alistair made so much sense!
My fight with the Arishok with my mage involved lost of running and a butt-biting dog too.

E3 is probably a good bet to reveal DA3, lots of eyes will be watching. And it's a great opportunity to get people who disliked DA2 to maybe consider it? Though I am sure some people will be determined to be bitter no matter what they may see.

I like the idea of reactions to our classes so I'd expect our companions seeing us use Blood Magic to be rather....big. Part of me wants a big WTFBBQ (new favorite thing btw) and for some characters to actually leave or confront you about it, but then another part of me wants some of them to just react appropriately. I dislike both extremes though, the OMG BLOOD MAGE and the Meh seen it approach. I expect a Seeker and Templar to react the first way, but I expect a Magister like Dorian to sort of take it as a learning experience (other companions) and maybe with some slight apprehension (He's trying to change right?).

But beyond them I think people should be a bit more wary around our hero afterwards, not all the time or even for a significant amount of time, but I think it should be brought up afterwards a few times.

For the Rogue I think Assassin is pretty taboo, but if we go to Antiva we'll probably be considered an amateur. I could probably come up with several reactions to the Rogue specializations mainly because I've heard some good ones from some people here and I'm hoping to play as one in DA3

I saw that thread on OT. Most people in it are assuming it's three Bioware games. The new IP, ME4, DA3. However, he didn't say that and the guy doesn't work exclusively for Bioware I believe.

I think by 'new' games he means not announced yet. Ok, I'm being negative there...

I still think we'll see DA3 at E3 in gameplay form and not CGI trailers, IMO.

Man, I really want a trailer! A trailer is what gets you hyped for a game. Example, I never saw a trailer for Skyrim; I just saw all the gameplay videos on YT. I didn't buy Skyrim until I was absolutely bored and DONE with DA2/O. I had several games I was considering purchasing next, and Skyrim barely edged the others out. It was pretty, sure, but it didn't give me any FEELS, you know?

I know what you mean, Skyrim is a great game but there isn't really attachments as far as your DB goes. Its fun but only to a certain extent. I didn't get "excited" about it like I do with DA or ME, it was just something to fill the void in between the two series. Only ones that have gotten me excited was Deus Ex: HR and The Witcher.  A trailer would be awesome to get everyone back in the DA spirit.
