Yeah plus I don't like the whole "You didn't play our previous game, so YOU don't GET these options, nanner nanner!" attitude lol Like in ME2 if I wanted to play a male Shep, since I didn't have an ME1 import, Kaiden dies automatically. I was so mad. And I definitely don't want to have to play all the way through Origins again just to get some particular result.

That sucks! Kaidan turned out to be the better character of the two anyway!

Ash gets such a bad rep. She's not a xenophobe like people say. :/

Naw, it's just that in ME3 she's a bit of a drag, moans constantly about how you worked with Cerberus (even after you sort things out) and seems more reserved than she was in ME1.

I'm sure Ashley is great; I just wanted to play with Kaiden lol Is that too much to ask BW and xbox? Apparently!

I hadn't thought of it like that lol. It was more, "Hey you played are games, ty for that, here have a nod for playing it :D", but I get what you mean, t'would suck to be stuck with a certain option without any choice in the matter.

Oh yeah, I get what you meant, but let's say the "thank you" they received for playing their game is the sixty bucks I slapped down for it in the first place lol

I wouldn't be averse to an import adding LAYERS of MEANING to a DA3 game; like say someone shows up whom we first met in a previous game, and we're like, Oh, it's that guy/girl! Cool! Whereas a person new the franchise won't really get the significance of that character.

Didn't they have a DLC for ME3 that would let you pick your world state for import? I thought they had something like that for ME2, although that was PC.

Hmm Not for the xbox version of ME2 that I was playing with. Anyway, it won't kill me to play ME1, though I cringe at the thought of going back and playing such an old game.

There was an interactive comic you could download for ME2 that gave you the option to pick what you would've done in ME1 so that it acted as an import.

ME2 Genesis seems to be available with Xbox points... Maybe check it out? It let me choose Kaidan over Ash.

wdit: yes, genesis is the comic Lola mentioned.

It plays like an old game too lol. I never really understood the arguments that the pure RPG mechanics were enough to make it superior to ME2/ME3. I thought they were very poorly implemented RPG mechanics. Shooting+heavy RPG gameplay doesn't mix. It feels awkward. Who wants to shoot a gun and can't hit anything two feet in front of them with a shotgun because the aiming reticule is so big? I'm all for pure RPG gameplay but not when shooting is involved lol. I guess it's because I'm use to polished TPS/FPS games.

The Mako segments were awful too. I liked the sandbox level design ME1 had but it wasn't particularly done well. That's why they scrapped it in ME2/ME3. Wouldn't mind seeing Bioware go back to the sandbox design in one of their games. Sounds like they might be doing it in DA3.

That being said, I overlooked any flaws ME1 had because it was such an amazing game in its time. As a sci-fi geek, it was an absolute dream game for me.

I heard the comic was only for PS3; this I'll have to check out! I was playing on my brother in law's xbox at the time, so I couldn't purchase anything with points. However, I'm still going to buy the trilogy since last time I checked it was a good deal (like sixty bucks for all games and DLCs). But maybe I won't have to play ME1 after all.

I think that if the story is good and the characters are likable then the graphics don't really matter. There's this game called Deadly Premonition and the graphics and controls are absolute bollocks, but the story is so weird and interesting and it's protagonist is so charming and eccentric that the poor graphics etc only add to its charm.

ME1 combat did feel wonky but as someone who does play shooters, I guess I acclimated to the mechanics fairly quickly.

What ME1 gave me that the others did not was a sense of adventure. I felt like there was so much to explore and discover in a wide open universe .
I guess feeling small made sense for ME3. I mean, how easy was it for the Reapers to simply fly in and blow everything that looked so awesome and huge in ME1 up? Not very difficult at all lol

Do not miss the long elevator ride in the Normandy. Not at all.

Haha. I want to play that game so bad. I think it's coming to PS3 finally later this month. I've heard it's so goofy, quirky and stupid, the game is awesome. It apparently has a cult following.

This trailer says it all.

It kinda reminds me of the show Twin Peaks? Which is awesome.

My gawd it's amazing! The PS3 version is the directors cut so it'll have some new characters, side quests, slightly better graphics and controls and will go into the story a little more. The game is very much like Twin Peaks, but even weirder LOL.

Just don't watch it too much or when you play the game you'll recognise certain faces and be like DAMN!

Absolutely bugger all, lol. There was some weird rumour going around that it'll be released in June, but that's highly unlikely. If anything that'll be the pre-order date.

Hey Demarco ty for stopping by :D. Yeah basically what Lola said June is the latest I expect an announcement for pre-orders unless it's delayed for next gen consoles if Holiday release is still a thing.

So, I'm gonna guess that they'll release DA3 info in June and then like a week or so after they'll put it up for pre-order.

You really don't think we'll see anything before June? I'd think they'd want to give marketing a few weeks before starting the pre-orders. They do have to branch out to those outside of the forums to make the big money after all.

I'm going to go w/ April for my prediction.
