Didn't they have a DLC for ME3 that would let you pick your world state for import? I thought they had something like that for ME2, although that was PC.
Hmm Not for the xbox version of ME2 that I was playing with. Anyway, it won't kill me to play ME1, though I cringe at the thought of going back and playing such an old game.
It plays like an old game too lol. I never really understood the arguments that the pure RPG mechanics were enough to make it superior to ME2/ME3. I thought they were very poorly implemented RPG mechanics. Shooting+heavy RPG gameplay doesn't mix. It feels awkward. Who wants to shoot a gun and can't hit anything two feet in front of them with a shotgun because the aiming reticule is so big? I'm all for pure RPG gameplay but not when shooting is involved lol. I guess it's because I'm use to polished TPS/FPS games.
The Mako segments were awful too. I liked the sandbox level design ME1 had but it wasn't particularly done well. That's why they scrapped it in ME2/ME3. Wouldn't mind seeing Bioware go back to the sandbox design in one of their games. Sounds like they might be doing it in DA3.
That being said, I overlooked any flaws ME1 had because it was such an amazing game in its time. As a sci-fi geek, it was an absolute dream game for me.
