In all seriousness though I dunno if authenticity is really the right word considering they had boob plate in Origins and unless I'm mistaken bras (not underwear, just bras) are a relatively new invention? Not this century or the last two, but not really medieval. Idk though.
The whole underwire contraption we use nowadays might be new-ish, but women have used cloth to bind themselves up for support for a loooong time. And the corset's been around for a few hundred years or so as well.... at least among the upper classes.
What I do know is that Hawke's underwear was suuuper hot in DAII and I want a set. I tried to get Cameron Lee to make that happen for me, but so far no dice.
Sadly my knowledge of the history of the bra is lacking
I never really think about her ladies though, seriously I don't
Yeah the climate seems wrong for her outfit though. The only defense I can come up with is that the swamp produces enough warm gases that it's warm enough for her to walk around in said outfit. Haven however is something else entirely, though if the trailers are anything to go by I imagine they wear cloaks when off screen.

LOL! this reminds me -- have you guys run into any of those deviant art drawings of pregnant or overweight Morrigan? They are suuuper awkward (since they're intended to be a turn-on for a target audience) but also pretty hilarious.

Welll.... MMG's right. She's not really wearing anything for support. Not anything. There's not really a bikini top there so much as a couple of strings under a wide and low shirt strap. But like I said -- she's young and not too busty. (makes me think of this)Danny Boy 7 wrote...

I never really think about her ladies though, seriously I don't. I'm more into her eyes, which are super sexy in my opinion. I'm an eyes man er apparently. What I like about her outfit however is that it's sort of...thrown together. Seems appropriate for someone relatively foreign to civilization. Seem barbaric to me.

That whole barbarian thing she has going on is carefully constructed. Morrigan is pretty conscious about being sexy/scrappy/couture. She knows it's not practical -- she just doesn't care.

Oh yeah MMG is right, not saying she wasn't
Plus I think it was more about style that function, for her (since hers is the only unique outfit in the entire game) lol.
Well they've met, not in my playthrough but Morrigan didn't have nice things to say to her DA2 counterpart,

Yeah that's what I'm talking about; there just is nothing there. Zip. Nada. Like I said; I don't care how sexy she wants to dress, just give her clothing that actually supports the boobanis lol But now I haven't been anything below a C-cup since middle school so I don't remember what small boobs are like. So there is that. (And in that I envy Morrigan)
Isabela's top I'm TOOOTALLY fine with and actually love. Especially her cool arm thingie. Going into battle in boots and panties though? PANTIES? I just, really? Really. Aghghghg lol

So DG just pretty much confirmed that the mage/templar issue won't be the focus of the entire game. Interesting!
Gahhhh So I wonder what the main focus will be then?! What else is there? Whatever Stroud and The Wardens are doing?!

Or maybe Corypheus? I wouldn't normally think it likely, but Anders/Justice were arguably the biggest thing going on DAII and they were both introduced via optional DLC.motomotogirl wrote...

'Course they could just blindside us with something completely new or under the radar. DG can't have told us everything there is to know about Thedas yet, right? But I haaaate not knowing.

First of all....boobanis +50 internet for my new favorite word ever.
But I think what he was trying to say is that we won't be focused on the Mage-Templar War, since you know that's what everyone in the DA3 forums is assuming and they're expecting the worst. I think we'll still hear about it, but in the same way we dealt with darkspawn in Origins. Which is to say in random events and certain key story points. I think we'll be working to end said threat, but we need to do a ton of work to get there.

Why are people so afraid that the game would center around the Templar/Mage issue? Cause of the "Inquisitor" title? The Dragon Age team has done a pretty good job at keeping the topics varied when it comes to quests, major plot points, etc. Where's the faith people!?! These (mostly) are the same people that made Origins, I hate that one less than stellar game in the series would create such contempt and mistrust for the devs.
And to keep things on topic, here, have a Cullen

Some people just REALLY hate that plot line I'm told. They don't want to partake in what they feel is a stupid war and would much prefer to focus on things like the Qunari quests or dwarves etc. Idk I don't mind it but I also wouldn't mind other plots.

Cool. Thanks, brush, for pointing that out! I think there are some good reasons to guess that mage-templar war would at least feature in the new game, but we've all figured it wouldn't make sense to be the focus. So that is comforting. But... does anyone recall (I don't have the link handy) didn't the leaked survey say something about the mage-templar war...?

It's somewhat mentioned (not by name) in the English survey.

Gosh, you know, I just noticed for the first time that the English version mentions that Ferelden is recovering from the dark spawn incursion "a decade ago." Heh, that might tell us the game is set in 9:40-9:41.Danny Boy 7 wrote...

@Vamp: You know I didn't mind either. I like that he didn't take up room in the actual party in DA2, but what I missed from Origins was that he couldn't be talked to all the time. I wanted some more half-eaten cake
@Lola: Late twenties, early thirties?

But in addition to that I also find the plight of the elves interesting (for the same reason), and any political machinations going on between countries because I love political intrigue. And I love the Qunari because I like race-/species-building and they did an awesome job with the qunari/Qunari.

Interesting!
I don't know why people think it's gonna be solely about the mage/Templar war anyway, there's never been a BioWare game that's only been about one topic lol.
My theory is that it'll be the opening theme of the game and initially lead people to believe that it's the main plot point run in the background whilst we investigate and do other things, then suddenly this big bad will happen just before mid-game that'll shift the focus onto whatever the new greater threat is.

If 24 in 9:30 (according to chr file), then he'd be 34-35 in 9:40-41. Asunder ended in 9:40.LolaLei wrote...

Since I did much prefer DA2 to DA:O I have to say I would really enjoy a game that focuses on mage versus templar, mainly because it asks that fundamental sci-fi/fantasy question of "What does it mean to be human?" Are mages human or more than human or not quite human, and should they be treated the same as other humans? Plus there's the issue of utilitarianism and "the Greater Good" (we take freedom from people born with magic so as to protect those without). That is like sooo much more interesting than "WE MUST DEFEAT THE DARKSPAWN RAWRRR!!" lol
But in addition to that I also find the plight of the elves interesting (for the same reason), and any political machinations going on between countries because I love political intrigue. And I love the Qunari because I like race-/species-building and they did an awesome job with the qunari/Qunari.
I agree that the "what does it mean to be human?" question is usually an interesting one, but I was going to suggest what Lola said about the mage/templar war being more of the opening theme of the game and then continuing as one thread throughout the story. I certainly don't believe they introduced the architect and especially Corypheus for nothing.
One thing I did love about Origins was going to the forest and going to the thaigs (or starting there) and seeing how some of the other races lived. I still don't really understand the Qunari or how the people are separated from the Qun as a religion. I'd like to find out more, but I doubt they'd center a whole game about that either.
I suppose I'd like to have a story where everyone gets their chance to shine and maybe the mages/templars, humans/elves and anyone else that has any major issues can actually work together to figure out what the deal is with the Darkspawn in the first place. I mean, so far the Darkspawn are the only common threat to everyone, and common goals lead to cooperation and understanding, right? I have to admit to enjoying the "save the world" type stories rather than simply stopping one or two of many "drunk with power" antagonists. I guess if you always have that type of antagoinst lined up it's easier to make a sequel though. lol
As for political intrigue, I'm curious about what will be happening in Orlais, and I look forward to seeing how Fereldan's being run these days. Tevinter would be interesting to explore, too!
EDIT: I forgot to mention FLEMETH! Also, if Morrigan's actions will actually have any reprecussions ...
